So i was wondering if anyone knows a fix for this specific issue.
Im just starting dragonflight and am doing the “reporting for Duty” quest. Ive followed Senadrax to the outpost where Lethanak is. Except he isnt there.
Things ive done
-restarted the quest
-closed client and restarted the game
-logged in and logged out
-sent a support ticket
Am i missing something?

Been having this issue for the last 48 hours. Trying to get back into the game and being entirely blocked from progressing the story line on any character is… Yep, about what I’ve learned to expect…
Because yes, this happens on multiple characters, old and new (Dracthyr), and as you’d imagine, abandoning and picking back up, re-logging, just leaving the area and coming back with our without the quest accepted and retrying has absolutely no impact on this.
Despite subscribing (and freshly purchasing) to “Dragonflight” this is the one expansion I’m entirely unable to play. Again, can’t say I’m surprised. Gonna love to see Blizzard tell us it’s our problem and what, we had other (irrelevant) content we could play, so we totally don’t deserve any of the time back we subbed for?

I just purchased Dragonflight a few hours ago to play with a friend and we are both hard locked at the exact same spot. We’re both on Lightbringer.
Happening to me and my groupmates as well on Lightbringer. I have dragonriding unlocked so I can go around and do other things - but they do not, obviously they have to progress through this quest to get it, so they’re basically blocked at this point 
With the amount of people I’m seeing experiencing this, has anyone from Blizz responded/do we know of a workaround yet?
(I submitted a bug report, but from what I can tell that doesn’t actually submit a CS ticket like it used to…?)
Hubby and I ended up switching to warmode and we were able to advance the quest. After turn in and accepting his quests, we went back to SW and turned WM off, went back and he was MIA again. So, we turned WM back on and we were able to see him again and advance his small quest chain.
Not an ideal work around, but it worked

and going to war mode worked till i got ganked lol. thank you all for the input maybe blizz will fix this one day xD

Verified: Turning warmode on worked to see him.
Extra confirmed. Didn’t see him with warmode off. Took the boat to Stormwind, turned on warmode, heathstone’d back, ran past some really chill Horde players, and he was there.
I walked back to Wingrest embassy to turn off warmode…and Lethanak is gone again. I am NOT questing with the fear of getting ganked.
Edit- this workaround is not 100%. Just toggled again, and Lethanak is gone again
Edit 2- I’m starting to think Lethanak is just missing from some instrance(s). I’ve joined up with different groups using GoupFinder and he’s appeared. Same thing with finding Wrathion in a following quest, he would not appear until I changed instances by joining a group
I had to turn warmode OFF in order to see him.
