Report the Shaman

Some druid asked people to report me for not casting Heroism/Lust in time in Blitzz

I feel like this community is getting worse by the day. As I’ve read here on other posts, not saying anything won’t keep you from getting reported. Peolple abuse the report system. It’s the go to rage button.

All you can do is report the druid yourself and in the box type “asking people to abuse the report system” other than that, wait and see.

Out of curiosity, why did you not push lust/hero?

I did, only about 30 secs later which in a team fight is a long time. I honestly got caught up in the fight and made a mistake but the point remains.

Just to play devil’s advocate, there’s sometimes a valid reason to hold off on pressing it. If someone dies early, it may be worth it to wait for their res.

Likewise, people tend to press it for the first big teamfight on Twin Peaks or WSG, but that teamfight and it’s associated lust aren’t always technically the best play, that’s just the crowd favorite script because if the game extends to Timer, there will be time for a second lust in the last minute or two. Realistically, saving it an extra minute or two and using it to blow up the EFC in mid is actually a good play, but people like to teamfight, and having the option for second lust is more appealing to the community than a greater guarantee on the first cap.

Hunters are often late to lust at the moment because our pets are kind of buggy when zoning into an instance. If you don’t remember to dismiss and resummon them before the gate opens, you have an unusable pet ability keybind.

As long as you’re not actually AFK or doing no damage or healing in the majority of your matches, them reporting you for this will do nothing.
I hope you reported them, as telling others to report someone actually IS against the rules, unlike using bloodlust a bit late.

The reason people love to spread misinformation about how the report system works is they don’t want you to report them for their toxic behavior.
They’d rather want everyone to believe it’s all automated so why bother reporting people since the system doesn’t work.

A quick browse of the CS forum shows that reporting people very much does work.

I like when people tell me to 'lust on my Shaman but it only buffs me and one homie and they get mad.

Yea, true. At least you did it. If it was late, oh well. I don’t think people should be reported for making mistakes.

Failing to press a specific spell at a specific time that your team requests is not, and will never be against any rule in this game. I turn my instance chat off in blitz because the community is so unbelievably toxic. You’ve got nothing to worry about.

I think it would be nice if people - who submit reports against others for not casting a spell - themselves get some kind of hidden demerit. And if they accumulate enough they get a bit of “time off” or something. lol

Big differences between “hey lust plz” and someone who has chat off and zero awareness. One deserves a report the other is classic oopsie.

At some point if ur forgetting lust every other game ur kinda hurting ur team bad enough to deserve something

I mean just because people say they are reporting you doesn’t even mean they are actually doing it honestly. This isn’t some new thing either, people have threatened to report over dumb things for 20 years.

Yes. About as close as I think is safe is asking player X, are you there? If they respond, they are not technically afk, but if they are chilling in the starting room I’ve let people reading chat know they can look at where that player is so they can determine for themselves if they want to report for gameplay sabotage or afk.
Most of the time I’m focusing on what I’m doing and if nothing is happening with the base I’m at I can announce enemy movements just to have something to do.

While I don’t disagree that a missed lust is hurting the team, I’m not sure if the community gets to decide what abilities another player has now belongs to the community and what rights a player has to use their abilities when they choose and if they choose.

If you aint lusting the first clash while the other team does u aint winning that first fight which can decide the flow of the game

What a 2025 response.

As I already said, I understand the desire to want heroism or lust when you want, but most other players don’t work for you, so they’re probably going to do something else on occasion.

You’re pretending like we aren’t playing a rated team game. Not doing what’s best for the team should not be excused in favor of some weird character autonomy mindset.

Mmr already determines this. If someone isn’t using their character’s abilities to best help their team win, then they will lose more games than someone who is, and therefor have a lower mmr, and therefor will be matched with others who play similar.
If someone can still climb mmr without using bloodlust, then it’s not holding them back from winning fights.

Not saying I agree with people who don’t use their abilities, but it’s not really up to you or I. If you want people who use bloodlust exactly when you want them to then form a RBG group so you can invite who you want.

It’s randoms. If performance is an issue, grab 2 friends and 3v3. U can be in comms when ya get rolled.

Or come play random/epics BGs. It’s the same game w/o whatever number attached.

OP, assumming ya didn’t barf all over chat, u got nothing to worry about. If you’re in there fighting, doing your thing, you’re fine, play how ya want, choose your talents how ya want, gear how ya want. Also, turn off chat. Play the games enough, get the feel, and chat is kinda useless anyway.
