When the person accepts to join, that is when the timer starts, not when they actually arrive, If the timer for a backfill afk is 2 minutes and they arrive at 1:58s, they will just be booted before noticing they were auto-reported afk by the system.
And you fail to understand there’s really no way to get around it. They cannot policy or enforce it or automate it.
It’s choice of the player. If they don’t want you there, there’s not much you can do about it. But not having the option is a lot more damning than having it.
Sorry it happened to you twice in 16 years, but that’s a lot better than allowing 15 people to afk every BG because you don’t want the option to exist
Ah yes, let the AFK people AFK some more. Solid choice!
Again, sorry bad luck hit you, but again, the system is better in place than not having it.
It was bad luck. Or, you simply did something they did not like. Being a DH would be enough of a trigger for most people lol. We’ll never know the other half of the story.
Again, can still afk with that. With your new system, I can do absolutely nothing in a BG and avoid being kicked. Tab in once every 2 minutes to cast a single spell then tab out.
Again, solid choice. Sounds like a winner! Let me get my honor while doing a Netflix Marathon and there’s nothing anyone can do about it!
It’s got most of us at least once. I haven’t actually tried it in awhile but you occasionally see it in leveling bgs and it does still get folks sometimes.
I miss the old strand of the ancients troll. “Omg look guys they added a barrier so you can’t fall off!!!” /strafes in front of gap in the railing.
I’ve never had this happen to me right when i enter a BG, it has happened while in a BG though and i called someone out for afking, his guildies said that he just went to make a coffee and i should “QQ moar”, then i was kicked lol
I wonder if perhaps you’re saying something to attract these kicks? (warranted or not)
just so you’re aware… this is actionable.
it falls under something like “emulating a game message”.
if you want to play stupid games, be prepared to win stupid prizes.
