Should we be worried about people mass reporting others and getting them booted for 3 days or muted for 24 hours?
I’ve been getting behavior warnings all morning and I’m just posting my guild ad…
Guild name is Feral Femboys
Come on guys… OnlyFangs exist? its 2 letters off from being against ToS…
Need further reminder how easy it is to mass report someone and get them muted or banned?
Go on YT and search “How to mass report in World of Warcraft” staysafe’s experiment where he live on stream told 50+ people to report him for anything and he gets booted… Other videos of people just reacting badly in PvP just report the enemy because they can to win. etc etc…
None of you in the comments here have had anything valid against me other than you dont like the guild name. I am trying to build a community here and it is still growing with the help of others but they are now at risk for this behavior.
If blizz doesn’t revert the mute this will just show others that you can just mass report anyone you dont like same goes for the forums with the flagging tool and get your way. Making the game unfriendly to new players and veterans alike…
Feral Femboys? I’d report you too

Is there any legit reason for doing so other than you dont like it?
if enough people don’t like the name then it’s de facto against the rules gotta be smarter about what you pick

Uhhh that isnt grounds for against ToS…
It doesnt even fall under disruptive behavior… That is politics in chat that gets thrown into that category…
I could get a bunch of people to mass report a GM of an enemy faction’s guild for cheating and get him booted on grounds we all dont like their guild.
I need hard concrete evidence my guild is somehow against ToS when people are running guilds called “Booty Lickers” or “Hagmaxers”
Unfortunately Blizzard likes to use automated systems to ban people. So if enough people report you its likely you will at the very least get silenced. Like Eyr said, it really doesn’t matter what the ToS is if enough people spam report you. And by the time a GM gets around to helping you with a ticket your silence/ban will be nearly over anyway.
It’ll be enough time for them to counter the people who reported me under false pretenses and I will push that matter as its happened before on retail.
I am going to be honest with you.
People report others who spam their guild in chat, especially if the guild name sounds stupid.

If you keep getting reported on classic and retail, you might want to self reflect why people think you’re annoying enough to report.

That’s legit the only reason people report names, isn’t it? (some just solicit more agreement than others)
So if I get a group of people to go on HC and report OnlyFangs, it’ll be justified?
I only report people who use the same stupid emoji Everytime they say something.

Pretty sure you were looking for this kind of attention when you named your guild that.

Rules should never be established by the FEELINGS of anyone. Only Logic and Reason should be used to establish rule sets.
Feelings have only created more wars, more conflicts and more problems than any other thing.
I agree but Blizzard lets whiney people make the rules. They choose to be offended by words and names and are the ones making the in-game reports. When I see a dumb name I…do nothing because I don’t care.

logic and reason require a human being to monitor all the reports, which is not happening welcome to brave new world
not reporting a horrible name isn’t a virtue, sweetie

Neither is being a Karen, especially in a video game.
