Report a player if you can't click nameplate

Search function works fine.

I’m not doing your work for you. There’s dozens more.

Because I used to write server side code for webforms for close to 15 years. The email address is buried in the server code. It’s a bit more efficient that way and a little more secure. That is from my viewpoint, but reality I don’t know Blizzards code base as I don’t have access to it, but I can make educated guesses based on past experience.

Ah… when I do searches, I restrict them to 12 months at most so that post would not even show up. I was even skeptical of the Diablo III Blue’s post because it was from 2015 since I initially forgot to add the date range to the search.

I stand corrected.

And I’m not going to bother to track it down. As I said the search function works just fine it’s been stated before that the information on the website form goes to the exact same people that the email does. You need to understand that most of us have been posting on this forum since its Inception. Some of us like myself. Have been posting even longer. We post here to share information. You? You’re just trolling. You seem to think this is an argument you’re going to win. It’s not. Please stop.

No, actually I was just curious since it was just an HTML file versus PHP or something else so I took a peak and see how it was constructed.

Well!

This thread certainly took a different direction from what I was expecting.

Sorry about that. I was operating on some old information so I struck my initial advice.

The Target Frame thing though still works. So if you can’t get their name plate, just target them and then right click on their portrait.

Just to touch on semantics, I’m 99.99999% positive that this is what the OP was talking about in the first place.

AFAIK, there’s no action for the overhead nameplates except for display of health, resources, and buffs/debuffs.

When the player in question runs out of range from you, the target plate is removed from your screen.

You’re correct. Which is why my thought was they were correctly referring to name plates vs the target frame.

If the player shows up again, I will attempt to do this. But as I explained previously, I was unable to target him because he would phase out when targeted.

The Blue post from that thread:

If you believe you found someone exploiting or botting, Eogathas, please use the right click report option in-game. If that option is not available you may email hacks@blizzard.com directly.
