TRP is over-rated . It get wiped at every major reset and I have failed to save most to the cloud. Trying to remember the details of my toons back-stories (i have 34) is difficult.
If I ever decide to reinstall a TRP or similar program, I have a very simple backstory solution:
Long ago in a distant land, I, Aku, the shape shifting master of darkness, unleashed an unspeakable evil! But a foolish samurai warrior wielding a magic sword stepped forth to oppose me.
Before the final blow was struck, I tore open a portal in time, and flung him into the future where my evil is law. Now the fool seeks to return to the past and undo the future that is Aku!
I mean, hereâs hoping Silvermoon and the Exodar, and the surrounding regions, get updated along with Gilneas and Lordaeron.
Thunder Bluff and Ironforge too, but they donât give off the same kind of jank as the other two.
theres people in the Wayfarers rest now
I was there. It was great! So many people. Thank you all for giving me hope hugs
Doing what?
Well you see when two blood elves, a Tauren, and 13 gnomes really really like each other sometimes they like to touch each other in special placesâŚ
just a bit o RP
I pvp, and since I have all my gear and whatnot, i can just queue in SMC.
Got a portable engineering table too so I can make my crafts
What Iâve done is copy pasted everything thatâs in my TRP in a Google Doc file. Whenever it gets wiped. I just copy and paste it back and it takes five minutes. It is done.
Quite a few people role-play now actually, you just need to know how to find them. Walk up role-play doesnât happen all that much, but there are discords dedicated to the planning of community and guild events.
I was just chillin with a Nightborne who is new to WRA. Was sharing my memories of how it used to be. Very relaxing
Honestly, thereâs a bit of poetry in the fact this game has existed long enough now that we have long term Elf RPers who can reminisce about how Silvermoon used to be.
its super immersive!
As an Amani druid RPer, Iâd like to help repopulate SMC.
With trees.
The ash of the fallen walls would make good fertilizer.
I hate nu Orgrimmar and itâs sad to me that itâs become the walk-up RP hub. Iâll tell you one thing, never drink Orgrimmar tap water.
swats with newspaper
Bad! We want more people there, not less!
I agree!
Munkir does, too, of course. But not in the way it would sound superficially. Luckily sheâs smart enough to not pick a fight she canât win.
Seriously, though, it would be lovely to see that zone filled with plotting elves again.
The only way I foresee Silvermoon getting an update is if a city that rhymes with Smalaran crashes into a city that rhymes with Wildernoon.
They have to justify their game updates to the board of out of touch old men in suits.
