Same problem as venthyr.
Having this Exact same issue atm as Necrolord. Just put in 300 and my counter did not go up.
I’m having the same exact problem.
We need an admin to fix this. I’ve put in over 2k and still not completed. This HAS to be a bug.
As of this morning it’s working for me. I’ve been getting credit as soon as I pick up the souldbound Anima item, not when I deposit it.
I had 850 anima from leveling 50-60. nothing went to the progression quest 0/1000. after hitting 60 it started to track. … so anima gained before level 60 doesn’t count?
I am super irritated by this problem and blizzards lack of response on it.
I have deposited WELL over 1000, in fact I’ve even unlocked the mirror thing which requires 100 anima to do so. But my quest still has me at 675. Any anima i add directly doesnt count, it appears to only be counting anima rewarded from world quests.
Blizzard, this is f%cking annoying.
im now days behind my friends
just happened to me, now at 640 and it shows 125/1000
So guys, I got this figured out, the problem is the quest text/name is misleading.
The quest isn’t to put the anima into the reservoir, it’s to get 1k new anima that could be put into it, like the item drops from WQ/Dailies that you get, AFTER, starting the quest are what ticks it up, not actually putting the anima into the reservoir
same here just dumped over 100 and got legit nothing
Same problem. This is what I found from Blizzard’s online help tool:
The objective of Replenish the Reservoir is to collect new Anima for your Covenant’s reservoir.
While it may seem like the goal is to deposit Anima into the reservoir, the goal is actually to venture out into the Shadowlands and acquire entirely new Anima drops.
Only collecting new Anima items will advance this quest.
Poorly worded quest dialogue if you ask me. Going to give it a try. Will update.
UPDATE: confirmed. Anima obtained from world quests progresses the questline. You don’t even have to upload it to the anima conductor - it records the progress as soon as the anima is obtained from completion of world quests.
I have read and understood Bonshefutz post and I am very appreciative for it! Thanks, Boneshefutz, you rock!
Nevertheless, I am going to bump this issue as a “bug” until the quest is corrected to read:
“Collect anima for the Anima Reservoir at [your covenant hub] by doing daily quests.”
I did the world boss last night after getting the quest and it said “250/1000” then this morning after rolling restarts I am back to 0?
Only anima tokens obtained after the quest has been picked up will count towards progress.
Anima is still not tracking right.
It doesn’t track when you turn it in to the reservoir, just when you gain it from quests, drops etc. So keeping the items in your inventory won’t matter, just new anima you get from new sources after you pick up the quest.
Did this, and still isn’t working. 300 anima collected today and the counter not moving, deposited it just to be sure and still not moving. Considering the pathetic amount we get from long tedious boring WQs this is a REALLY annoying bug. Please hurry up and fix this.
did you abandon/pick up the quest again, I know 300 anima is a hit but a few dungeon ques or wq should get you back upto that point, no?
I was at 860/1000 no way i’d drop that. Ended up grinding lots more WQs to get it to register. For the record, if bags are full, even if earning the anima that day, it won’t count which is really stupid and unfair. Blizzard need to fix this quick smart.
