I like Fireball, the same way I dislike still having frost spells as fire, they could just add a passive if you want a slow, like “Melting” and change all the freeze effects to a melted ground one.

GET OUT! Stupid feedback like such has ruined the mage class, since WoD.
Mages can conjure elemental magic with arcane, they should be able to cast spells of multiple schools.

A valid opinion but I too miss the days when being locked out of one school, didn’t remove every spell you had. (Ok, most every spell).
A part of me still misses using rank 1 Frost Bolts to slow folks running back to south shore while I waited to POM Pyro them.

I miss R1 FB even as frost ;-; oh how fun it was to be able to fire quick slows as people and be able to kite forever.
But more on subject - I could be wrong here as i am long gone from being a pvp mage, but it feels like fire has quite a kit to kite and having a slow along with scorch speed up, DB roots - might be a little much?
I am all for them giving us back some cross-spec spells back, but some things might need adjusting.
Kiting as Fire isn’t like it used to be when flame strike had a 50% slow. It’s 20% now. Just about any class in the game can catch a fire mage.

The only slow fire needs is a buff to the flamstrike slow. That way you trade damage for slow. Atm the 20%/30% isnt enough for anyone to use it.

I honestly wouldn’t mind them taking away some of our mobility if it meant we could have a decent slow and MoP Blast Wave back.
While I would love to have Frostfire Bolt back and perhaps a proper slow for Fire, I’d rather Frostfire not permanently replace anything. FfB and FB coexisted in the spec before, they can do so again.
