Replace Boosts with WoW Ingame Store-Credit

Hello all, I’m sure plenty of you will have little to no idea what to use your boosts for besides a misc character.

Blizzard should let you choose if you want to apply it towards a boost, or towards other misc. services. (like 2-3 name changes, race changes, faction changes, server transfers, etc. or potentially use the $60 valued credit towards shop mounts, toys/minion pets? ; more controversially being able to use it towards the gold exchange- (but then it could count as xyz months of service instead as well) )

(Obviously this would exclude using the $60 valued credit towards buying other games for other people or gifting it or etc. - but gifting the boost or the ingame credit might be a good way to help incentiv-ize getting some friends back into the game as well potentially. )

I believe part of the boost is specifically designed at getting people in-game, and endgame and playing before the expansion hits. None of the other services would benefit them in this regard.
It’d also be a good reason for someone to say “Well, I’d love to go back and play but I’d have to level someone all the way up to 120 before I could even touch the new content, I think I’ll pass

Yeah I get that, but that’s kind of what I mean though, it doesn’t really provide much benefit to existing players. So there’s not really any bonus incentives to prepurchase just for a character boost. Especially considering that the 10-50 squish will make leveling a lot simpler since it would take quite a bit less time by being able to level through only one expansions worth of content to reach the newest content.

Normally I’d argue that it allows someone to rapidly level up the new X Class or Y race that’s released with the new expansion but considering there isn’t either one of these this time around, you’re right it does kind of suck.

Unless you use it on your Mechangnome or Vulpera I guess.

This is likely the result of the fact that there is no mechanism to give someone X number of “credits” to apply towards the services. They get to pick 1, set a flag and give it to anyone who pre-purchased.
