Replace Blood Elf/Void Elf twirl with Flip?

Just out of curiosity would you replace the twirling animation with a night elf style flip?

That’s a nelf thing so probably not.

Why would we flip? Idk why we even twirl. Maybe they could add a fart instead. lol

I rather like it on my void elf, seems dainty.

I like the belf/velf twirl. Nelves are far more agile and lanky so they can keep their own thing

I wish I could choose my jumping style on my Worgen because that flip looks really stupid, ESPECIALLY when jumping backwards.

No, because the flip is night elf inclined. Twirling is thalassian elf inclined. Diversity is good in these little things.

Well yes diversity is good and all but you have to admit a flip seems more agile looking then a twirl. Well Blizzard won’t change it anyway. It’s a flat out miracle they changed Male Worgen from that awful backflip to a front flip same as female worgen.

That’s the point. Night elves are an amazonian and highly agile race. Thalassian elves have always been portrayed more as casters. While you have people like the Windrunners, or Brightwing who also make excellent farstriders, I’m of the opinion that the twirl is more than enough to hint at agile people within thalassian society, while leaving the flip (something more agile) to the elves which are totally based on it.

If you notice, Nightborne (which use the night elf skeleton) have no flip, nor twirl. And I believe that’s because they don’t even have farstriders. We have seen them as nothing other than mostly mages and casters, with some various forms of spellblade / warrior-ish classes.

The twirl is unique to Thalassian elves. I don’t think we should be getting rid of something iconic to the races just because something else might look cooler in someone else’s opinion.

certain agile classes such as rogue, hunter, etc, the flip animation will look good

A good point. Personally it’d be nice to select a jumping style so that certain more agile classes like Rogues and Hunters could have flip while others can have a twirl or nothing at all (Always found it weird my Mage twirls in mid combat)

Also the Nightborne do have Rogues and Hunters as well as Mages, though I imagine spending all that time under a magical bubble did no favors for their agility.

Do you use it to double jump?

No. Unequivocally.

I like my little twirl, so how about no?

The only thing my twirl is missing is SPARKLES!

I just realized void farts would come out of Void Elves…

No. I am not a lesser creature, I don’t do circus tricks like a trained animal.

Absolutely not, i love our twirl, Nelf flips are cool and all, but it’s nice to have unique animations to set races apart, we Thalassian elfs are prissy things, so a twirl fits us quite well ^-^

Twirls are part of dance moves. Some of the best fighters were excellent dancers, the twirl is used for fan of blades or knives or w/e it’s called, not just in this game but IRL.

BEs aren’t prissy.

I’d rather a fresh dance that isn’t straight from the reskin, even if it was actually just the female undead dance, I always liked that one and I think it would look good on VE.
