Repeated HEAP_CORRUPTION errors

Since 11.2, I am experiencing frequent crashes with the identical error message:

Exception: 0xC0000374 (HEAP_CORRUPTION) at 00007ffb3119dc45 0x00007ffb3124e0e0

The addresses in the message are always identical.

I have attempted to resolve the issue by doing the following:

Updating Windows, my Nvidia graphics driver and checking for BIOS or other updates with my computer’s OEM.

Running the Windows system file checker (“sfc /scannow”).

Attempting repair WoW.

Uninstalling and reinstalling WoW.

Emptying the Cache, Interface and WTF folders, and running the command “/console cvar_default” in-game.

The same crash continues despite everything I’ve tried.

My system is fairly high-end, with 64 GB of RAM, plenty of disk space available, not running hot, and the CPU/GPU load when the crashes occur is minimal.

Edit: Tried setting the graphics API to DX11 instead of DX12; no change.

I’m having the same error as well. It has been happening since the 11.2 patch.

Not really sure what else to do… it’s getting frustrating since I can’t play for more than 15-20 minutes without crashing.

I went into my Alienware command center and changed the Performance setting from “Balanced” to “Quiet”. This was after the Friday morning maintenance.

I have now played two full days with a full addon setup and only one crash. I would be surprised if that change really made such a huge difference, but I was getting crashes several times an hour before.

any update? I have had the same problems and have done most of the solutions you mentioned without any success.

having same issue, very inconsistent, sometimes I’ll go hours without a crash, sometimes I’ll get 2 crashes within 10 minutes. Same error everytime

anyone find a fix?
