After a few minutes in raids, or about 10 minutes in a dungeon I lag out, the game is unresponsive and then eventually I disconnect with error WOW51900319. I have a ticket open with CS, have provided Ping Plotter data, tracerts, etc. but so far no insight from Blizzard. I’ve reset my entire internet pipeline (modem, router, ethernet adapter, IP lease, DNS cache, etc.) but still constantly have the disconnects. During the timeout and disconnect all other internet traffic on my PC, and the rest of my house, works fine.
Anyone else have any luck sorting this out? Seems like a service issue on Blizzard’s end, or an internet issue between us and Blizzard.
I had this issue for 6 months. I was sure it was a wow problem as I could not see any issues with anything else. However the last month I finally saw some lag on other devices and programs. Minor and barely noticeable.
I spent 4 weeks trying to convince my internet provider of the issue. They run me in circles making me run tests and ran some from their end and assured me it was not them.
However, two days ago I changed internet providers and guess what, I am not longer dcing and getting that wow error. Not saying its definitely your internet provider, but do not rule them out.
From everything I have dug up, it looks to be an issue with packet loss in the transpacific cables, not enough to break most things most people do, but enough to keep DCing us OCE/SEA players when we try to connect to NA servers.
on my MANY traceroutes ive done in the last few weeks I see the transpacific jump giving times of 250 (typical and playable if steady) to 5000
It’s really frustrating on HCC, Im not even playing anything ove lvl 10 right now because it seems a waste of time and effort to throw away a toon, by playing it when one knows one will DC within a few minutes anyway. I don’t even like walking around TB on my bank alt right now…
It’s not deadly on retail, but it’s annoying AF.
I’m fine with my regular 200+ ping, whatever, I’ve learned to play around it, but these constant semi DC are infuriating,
