I’m making this post to see if anyone else is having this problem. I’ve on multiple occasions now gotten repeat conduits. The most recent occurrence of this happening to me was with the Warrior conduit Harrowing Punishment at item level 200. I received three copies of it, once from the world boss Mortanis in Maldraxxus, and the two other times from calling chests from the calling quests I hadn’t done in the previous couple of days.
I sent in a ticket and didn’t really get a response to whether or not this is a bug or simply a case of bad luck. The first GM that responded honestly didn’t really seem to have read my ticket. I say this because their response stated that I “was on the hunt for the Harrowing Punishment” conduit which if you have been following along, no I was not I have three copies of it. I do want to say though this isn’t their fault I was slightly frustrated with my original ticket it easily could of been worded poorly and they might not have known what I was trying to say. So because their response didn’t really answer my question, I responded trying to clarify more.
The second GM response still didn’t answer my question. Their response went along the lines of the drop chance doesn’t seem broken and that I need to learn conduits before I open future calling boxes and I would assume loot future world bosses, this being an assumption I could be incorrect about the world boss portion but not the calling boxes the GM said that themselves.
I never stated this in either of my messages to the GMs, but I did learn one of them before I got the other two copies, so honestly in my opinion this response still does not answer my question. I also want to say that honestly if this were the case that kind of sucks. I don’t think I need to learn a conduit to hopefully not get it again at the same item level from different loot sources.
So please let me know if I’m just super unlucky and being whinny or if this a problem that is more prevalent than the GMs I got were alluding to.
You need to learn them and you’ll never get a double again.
(i see you wrote that in at the end, usually that’s the issue anyway)

Not true. I got a double of Safeguard for Warrior after I learned it. I read the same comment before it happening and became confused by it.
I got a question about this. I have a lower conduit in my bag do I delete it ,I just can’t figure out if I should.
I doubt it would downgrade your conduit level if you learnt it… Though…
Can you try it for us?

I never got the same conduit after learning, so I can’t say I have been your shoes but I think you should learn the conduit, why wouldn’t you?
In going to assume you collected calling boxes then learned it then opened them. In which case your loot may have been predetermined from before you learned it. I’ve never gotten a duplicate after learning one and if you have a wq that lists one as a reward and then learn it the wq reward will even change. You should only be finding higher ilvl versions

I just love how I have 213 and 200 Conduits but the ones I use are still 184 lol

It won’t let you. You’ll get an error if you try to learn it when you already know an equal or higher level version.

You can still get conduit drops even if you have one unlocked. You just have to delete them.
This does seem to be intended though strangely enough. (It doesn’t really affect anything though since 90% of conduit sources only have a single conduit available from them anyway so you typically aren’t missing out due to it)
I love how Venari’s Unbound Reality Fragment is unique so you have to spend hours flying around if you have a lot of stygia and you want to level up your conduits

This and also the fact that so far I’ve only gotten fire conduits from it which almost made me get out my tinfoil hat cause I was starting to believe maybe fire conduits have a higher chance to drop 
… But then I realized that’s highly unlikely given everyone already seems to go fire so they don’t need conduit drops to influence people’s choice…
… Unless…

Ve’nari sells an item that upgrades one of your conduits, picking randomly from your lowest level ones.
Well I don’t do stuff in the maw, I have no reputation with her so… Still gonna be 184!

It’s happened to me a couple of times and in both situations it was when I had a conduit in my bag that I didn’t turn in. So now when I get one I immediately bind it so that I won’t get a repeat. Haven’t had that trouble since.
You have to have stygia and be cordial with Venari, its not bad if you just minmax the maw rares/specials a few times a week
I meant it, I do nothing but the calling in there and the soul gaining for renown lol. I hate the zone. I’ll stick with my 184’s
I cant play warmode in the maw because the horde/alliance ratio is majorly imbalanced lol lame, they literally just camp the exit so you cant play on days thats its covenant quest
