Yeah….that ain’t it, chief. I’ve uninstalled every single thing from blizzard or battle.net on my entire computer, rebooted to make sure it was really all gone, reinstalled the b.net launcher and as soon as I start to reinstall WoW…the same error code pops saying something “broke”.
I’ve repeated this process twice now and this is starting to give me an aneurysm
Thank you for taking the time to report this issue. I moved your post to a new thread since that old thread had been inactive for some time. If you have already tried the troubleshooting steps for this specific error which can be found here (including the Advanced Troubleshooting), let’s go ahead and have you run a ‘WinMTR’ network test to the patching server. This will illuminate potential network-related issues which can also result in this error/behavior with the App. Here are the instructions:
Start the test and then try the installation again. Ensure the error occurs while the WinMTR tool is running. If the error pops immediately, that’s okay – let the WinMTR continue running.
After the WinMTR test has been running for about 5 minutes, click Stop and then “export text”, and save the WinMTR file in an easy to find location.
Once you have that made, open the file. You’ll need to copy and paste the contents of the Text document into the post, and put four Tilde (~) marks above the WinMTR. It’ll look like this:
