hey folks. i must be missing something here. the rep grind for Mechagon seems really full on. i don’t seem to get many daily quests in comparison to the speed of the world quests/dailies for najzatar.
is there something im missing here? i have all those spare parts. can you hand those in for rep?

There’s the dailies, and the rares, but there’s also rep people often don’t know about. Once you can travel to the alternate future there’s more dailies there. There’s also several special fish you can catch and turn in for rep every day. Also, building things like the kegerator and gramophone give you a good chunk of one time rep.
Over all, I didn’t find Rustbolt rep to be that awful.

Also the best rep boost you can get is to run around and do all the special pet battles, you get rep for an item you get from defeating them… like 250 each times uhh… 9 pets was it? works for naz too by the way.
Not many dailies but there is one world quests every day in mechagon that rewards something like 850 rep
alternate mechagon when chromie is in town… to farm for the blue print in the alternate mechagon so you can tele back without her help.

the blue print hand ins for seaspit and freza that drop (RNG) only once if you didn’t do it.
Pet battles 1x for each… plus the few dailies that pop up
Nothing really else you can ‘‘chase’’ .
mech pet battles offer 75 or something… not sure it’s worth the hassle. Naz’jatar offered much more for one pet battle.
Well for the pet battle dailies yes but for every pet you beat you get a one-time turn in item that gives 250 rep that you turn in at rustbolt.

Bonus: insignia rep, You get this from first paragon chest. 1 crate = 100 rep.

Between these 3
Kill 3 Rares
Collect 6 chest
And basically do 4 dailies there

18k rep needed by the time you’re done with the intro quests.
So basically a month of logging on every day to do your chores before you’re allowed to fly like 90% of the playerbase. They designed these maps around the playerbase both being on the same ground together. But when you’re the peon on the ground because you dared to take a break from the (boring) game you just quit, hoping that maybe it’s fun to return to now… all you get to see is 99% of the playerbase flying over the stuff you’re forced to fight. Nobody helping you.
For extra salt on the wounds anytime the big rares show up on the map they all get on their flying mounts and zoom right over there. By the time you get there on the ground its dead.

I see you are concerned about not being able to fly in Mechagon right away. There is an answer to that though. Look for the crafting/engineering stations and pick up a rocket pack! Those let you fly even if you don’t have a mount. Once you get the blueprint for it, you can make all the rocket packs you want. It really makes Mechagon the easier of the two zones to get rep with.
It’s an expensive craft. The stations that give them out for free aren’t consistent enough to be reliable either. I feel like… they coulda just given you pathfinder #2 for doing the intro quests to the new zones and exploring the entire map. But they haaaaaaaaaad to tag this dumb rep grind into it as well.
Plus you can’t even fly in the old BFA zones until you do the new zones either. So any alts you might want to level have to be put on the shelf till you’re done with a timegated grind.
200 spare parts is expensive? You get that fairly quickly, and that 200 parts turns into three jetpacks. So, you get flying for an hour in roughly 20 minutes. Between rares, chests, dailies, etc, that is not a lot of parts for something that will tide you over until you get the rep.
Now… if only Naz had a similar item… Then that place might be more tolerable.
You should easily get over 2k rep per day.
I do 4-6 chests - 10% each - some rares will give 15% (others nothing can’t figure out the pattern) and one daily usually head for the pet battle one since fastest
