Rep - do you ever grind more than once?

Curious if anyone ever does this more than once. Personally I never have. Whenever the discussion comes up of making rep account wide someone chimes in with “hey I like to grind rep on all my accounts individually”

I’ve never met this person. Are any of you that person?

Nope , but over the course of the expansion at least two of my alts ends up getting exalted with all :+1:

I did so in Legion on both my Shaman and Warrior. But mostly so that I could use the Army of the Light tabard on my warrior.

But with Tabards being account-bound now, there’s no point for me to get reps on multiple alts other than paragon chests or getting some transmogs.

That’s a consequence of rep being tied to your WQs which you probably felt obligated to do.

What about older reps pre-WQ?

Well right now you have to get rep with 7th Legion/Honorbound up to revered on every. single. character. if you want to get all their followers.

Only time I ever considered it was before mounts were account-wide, if I wanted a particular mount for a particular character. Even then, I never actually did it because it’d just be too tedious. And then account-wide mounts happened, and there was much rejoicing. Yaaayyy

I am that person! Every character gets their own Paragon Cache, if rep were account wide I think they would clamp down on you getting rep more than once for doing any activity. Instead of me getting 1750 rep for doing enemy incursions on 12 separate characters, Account Wide rep would change that to 3000 rep the first character that does it, and the rest would get nothing.

No, unless I absolutely have to. I want to work on getting exalted with (almost) all of the rep factions, but doing that on more than my main would kill me inside.

No way. I always end up leveling my hunter first because he has all of the rep. I may bother leveling alts if they ever put flying back in the game.

Only for crafting recipes if I want them. With the horde/alliance split this expansion I’ll prob. do them all on one of each - but wouldn’t otherwise, no.

So you did ems across 12 characters? I’m honestly impressed.

I did back when the laughing skull mask wasn’t account bound. Had 3 toons exalted with them.

I use too, when Rep could be earned on my time and not Blizzards artificial time.

On my Huntard I’ll get exalted on everyone and after that I don’t bother trying with my other toons.

Technically I have two mains… My rogue and my priest… One melee dps and one healer… While I haven’t ‘ground out the rep’… My healer is closeish to having the BFA reps at exalted… I did grind the reps on my rogue though.

The rest of my profession mules which this expansion has made pretty worthless… No I’m not going to grind out the rep, nor is there anything Blizzard could do to get me to grind out the reps aside from giving me some kind of token that would triple the rep acquisition for them.

I’ve done some on alts deliberately for professions but not so much recently. Some just happen eventually if they’re dungeon/raid ones. But generally I just focus on reps on this character. Although, I did finally choose one of my Horde characters to do Horde specific factions on… that’s gonna take awhile lol

For profession recipes and transmog, absolutely. Beyond that it just depends on what I’m doing. Most of the time it happens incidentally.

I have 5 characters with more than 80 exalted reputations, to get all the profession recipes and whatnot. But I still want account-wide reputation.

I’ve got a number of characters with different reputations at Exalted, but the one I’m posting on has become my Rep Grind character of choice. Currently working on some old Pandaria Reps. Completely missed that expansion.

Would love to get the 100 Exalted Reputations achievement for the mount. Probably will wait until the next expansion.

No rep grinds are way too boring to repeat.
