i’m slowly progressing The Enlightened rep on 10 alts, like doing maybe 1 WQ daily on each toon (and world boss and weekly) in ZM. figured i’d get the contract to speed it up a bit. here’s the text on the contract:
Enter a contract with The Enlightened that allows you to gain reputation with them every time you complete a world quest in the Shadowlands.
sounds good. so i buy contracts for each toon (6000g total), then do a WQ. 10 extra rep. oof, not great, but maybe an extra 1000 rep per toon before i hit Exalted. then i notice it’s a buff that only lasts a week! so i spent 6000g for 70 rep per toon. if i had known these were meant for psychos who do 20 WQs a day, every day, i wouldn’t have bothered! all they had to do was add three words to the item description to make it clear: “Enter a weeklong contract … to gain 10 extra reputation …”. lame.

Sorry to hear that! In the future, I would recommend trying buying 1 and seeing if you like it first. Wowhead is also a site that can give more details on things like this so if you feel as if you need more info i’d hit up that site so you know what you’re purchasing in better detail.
Interesting name. Anyway, I agree with you completely. 10 rep for each WQ is crappy! Worthless piece of junk! Make it 50 or 100 rep!

the point is, the item description should give you all the info you need.
Unfortunately I don’t think thats like, ever been a thing in this game. Until it becomes a thing its a wise move to find out any info you can before making any major investments.

Yeah I looked that up after I said that. Dang. Well, more world quest grinding it looks like then.
It would be nice if the rep reward for contracts was increased.
10 is almost pointless. It would be nice to get a big buff, like 50 per quest but I’d settle for even 25 per quest.
If you’re doing every WQ in ZM every day it works out to 210 rep a week right now.
You’d want to be clearing all the zones to make a real dent.
Best bet would be to get one alt high enough rep to make your own contracts if you really want to use them instead of paying a premium. That’s the only time I ever use them is when I can make them myself and usually for the last little push over the finish line.
You’re going to be a while. But honestly, we have literally nothing else to do in ZM until probably next year when the new expansion hits.

Don’t tell me you are aiming for the 239 conduit upgrade item. Please don’t say yes.
not really, because you get 1750/wk just for doing the weekly quest and world boss, then another 875/wk from doing the daily puzzle WQ that takes 2 seconds. that’s an easy 2625/wk. basically 12 weeks of very little work, once you finish the campaign which essentially gets you to Honored.
why wouldn’t someone want 239 conduits? of course i’m happy to get that along the way, but mainly going for the Rune on all my toons to replace the one i’ve been using since Legion.
yah my scribe just got it. but the cost of the mats still isn’t worth the bonus it gives.
