…Why not just bring back all of the Artifact tower appearances with unique colours if you’re going to do it for the bear? They all have their appeal and unique value. And if we’re going to get technical, the flails for Warriors and Paladins have a “unique silhouette” as well.

Are you for real?! Do you realise there is a little something going on right now called a CONTENT DRAUGHT?! With it being available only once a month to just get armor re-colours that ALREADY EXIST in the game nobody will be doing the damn Mage Tower! What a COMPLETE waste!

They never went out of their way to fix the cheese strats so everything was fair game.
You could single phase it as shadow priest using surrender to madness to evaporate the boss before the intermission ended. You’d still die at the end, but it counted.
Another Special Addition
During Legion, the Mage Tower awarded most specs a new weapon appearance, yet players who missed earning those still have countless other admirable weapon transmogs to collect across the whole of the game. But for Guardian druids, the Mage Tower prize was an alternate bear form with a unique silhouette and animations. There is simply nothing else like it in the game. For years, we’ve heard feedback from druid players who are frustrated that something so transformative is no longer available, and we agree.

Gonna be a bunch of druid alts doing this, otherwise pretty much dead content after the first 3 days.
They can get a recolored version of it, but the originals will still be exclusive.
This will likely be an unpopular take with some, but I appreciate the design choice here. There are things I didn’t get from the Mage Tower that I wanted, but honestly when I see other people with them I just think “Oh, congrats!” and not “Aww… I forgot I didn’t get that.” Different strokes, I suppose.
Looking forward to that Bear and as many of those armor sets as I can get. Which, over time, will hopefully be all of them! 
Do you play MTG perchance? The only place I hear “evergreen” to mean “permanent” is over there with my MTG friends.

I myself got quite a few but would love to finish them.
Gating things to the past is NOT fun.
Make them re-colors if you wish, but please add them as rewards.
Reintroducing the SAME appearances without a recolor? Yes. (Would diminish)
Reintroducing the same appearance with a recolor? No. (Would not diminish)
They outright told us it was being removed like 6 months prior. A lot of us forced ourselves to play characters we did not want to play at the time, in fear of missing out on a skin we wanted. This not only involved getting said character geared, but we also had to farm Nethershards, as every attempt cost 100 Nether Shards. We also had to wait for the Mage Tower to even be up, which was like once every week/week and a half.
If they re-introduced the original skins, then they’d have to reintroduce MoP Challenge Mode mogs, the Pandaren Phoenixes, the WoD Challenge Mode Weapons, the WoD Heirloom Trinkets, the WoD Garrosh Heirlooms, etc.

I really didn’t want to do this tower again.
But I was also sorely disappointed y’all voted for the silly tree over the flying book. Now I’m gonna have to bash my face against these bosses all over again for that book. I don’t think I have it in me.
If you are going to use the “unique weapon” argument might want to considerer the prot flails and feral druids at the very least. Even so most of the appearances were fairly unique and its a shame they are still locked even without a recolor. Going back on limited time content wouldn’t be a bad thing.
Please note legion didn’t have many weapon mogs to begin with, artifact weapons took that space. So 2 out of 6 weapon appearances for the entire expac are locked behind balance of power and the mage tower.

Pretty much perfect! Can’t wait to log on all my alts and get the class armors! I’m not a huge werebear fan even though I have it but the fel skin is super cool and I don’t mind people having it! I would’ve enjoyed a fel cat too but that’s okay!
I’m not keen on that new werebear. I’d rather those who didn’t get it in the past could get the original skins instead. I put the effort into forcing myself to learn how to tank as a druid purely for that skin, but I don’t see it as some prestige thing. That was a positive push to make me take the effort to learn something new, and by god I enjoyed it. Legion bear was…kind of badly balanced, since they were unkillable gods and all, but still. Learning to play as a bear was honestly incredibly fun, coming from someone who mains a warrior. This new reward isn’t as appealing at all, and that’s coming from someone who has four druids with the second tint applied at all times.
I’m not saying that the new skin shouldn’t be given out. By all means, let it come out. I’ll gladly add it to my collection. Allow others another chance to get the original werebear skins as well. It’s too nice to be lost to time.
I’m a fan of that mage T20 recoloring. Can’t wait.
