Many players pushed themselves to collect all the appearances they could before the tower closed. Reintroducing those same appearances now would diminish those players’ accomplishment, so success in a Mage Tower challenge will now award a Legion-themed armor set for your class.

Thats not how that works. Mythic gear was not advertised as limited time availability – the appearances were.

They’ve talked about bringing back old PvP Elite sets which were always limited time exclusives, and is directly tied to a competitive ladder.

They didn’t because of community backlash. If they can consider that idea, they can bring back mage tower appearances.

All of the druid ones, because they were extremely easy. You can even still earn them all today minus the feral one. Literally every other one can still be done today but you don’t seem to cry about that.

Did you have a problem with them giving fire cat to everyone when it used to be a 1% drop chance in mythic difficulty? Or were you fine with that?

The idea that the feelings of the 0.01% of the entire playerbase who ever played wow and remained active for the last 15 years is somehow more important than the playerbase who didn’t remain active this entire time is a terrible business decision.

Yeah and i don’t understand these people:
None of the original colors will ever return.
No one will be able to obtain them anymore and somehow, they are considering that adding an alternate color will destroy the worth of their achievement.

Well, McDonalds is HQ’d in Chicago – so I doubt California state law would affect them and California isnt exactly dumb enough to try and sue McDonalds.

Again, if you bought the expansion – you paid money for the product. You paid for the content being available to the account and a limited time availability was put in for the Mage Tower.

Yes exactly, and the marketing of the tower and it being time limited was done, in part, to keep people subbed (paying for access) when they may have taken a break.

I have the toy, and I think others should have a right to have it too. It’s coloured pixels in a video game that is already losing a ton of players.
