itās the same as rep grinds in the past, thereās just more breakpoint along the way. And just like those old reps itās not intended to max them out in the first couple weeks. Iām more surprised that people found a way to max some of them out already.

Renowns are meant to go at a slow pace. The entire feature of this expansions is that youāre not required to go absolutely nuts to be ācurrentā. I just did my m0 last week, and will do them this week and log in for my WQ when I need to, and maybe do some loremaster progress but Iām messing with alts now.

Probably not. I donāt know if you played Shadowlands, but remember that we were hard time-gated to only a certain number of renown levels per week?
Weāre no longer hard gated, but there is a soft gate with the weekly and 3-day quests being doled out more slowly.
Youāre not MEANT to be at renown 20 already. Sure, you can no-life it, but as the Pandas say: Slow down. Life is to be savored.
Youāre not doing anything wrong. Youāre in soft-gated system where natural progression will be slow, but you can force it with brute grinding if you so choose.

Thatās not the problem. The problem is that regardless of the speed, the content given to increase renown is of low quality.

the expansion has been out a week. do you expect to be at renown 50 within the first week? I am so confused.

no this grind is far worse because we have so few world quests - changing the name from rep to renown is just an excuse to make us grind for months instead of weeks for the game type of rewards

Itās actually the opposite. In SL, we complained about the hard time gates. The devs wanted the story and renown rolled out at a particular pace, and we hated being blocked and scheduled. We asked over and over again in many ways on this forum for a removal of hard time gates. We asked for the freedom to do the renown grinds at our own pace and without being penalized for missing a day of gameplay.
Theyāve given us that. Weāre not meant to be no-lifing the renown grind. We are given the option and the freedom to grind it if we want to, but weāre not meant to, and weāre certainly not being āmadeā to.

all they did is shift who was doing the grinding but made it worse. The people doing professions if they want them to be relevant at all need to grind and it is a long boring grind not the variety that was world quests.

I literally stated the grind is of no variety and not the variety of world quests. Maybe you donāt realize how you get renown faster now?
As a gold maker and dopamine rat, ya it sucks. But I want to have a main and just focus on things Iāll enjoy but craft orders that have shown up were for high renown stuff that I donāt have so it sucks.
Renown āāgrindāā sucks for me IMO.
are you kidding me? it used to be dailies and those were repetitive. You do 1 quest and it unlocks 5 more. In fact this is the most variety I have ever seen in an expansion. Go ahead and report me, but I am not being a troll, I am just sick of seeing these baw threads when Blizz actually listened and gave us what we have been begging for. I have never seen such entitlement in my life.
The only thing Iām not happy with so far is haivng to wait 3 days for WQ and events. I wanted to get all factions to lvl 20 before I started leveling alts, but that seems pretty illogical with the time-gating. I did manage lvl 10 on all of them, at least, so thatās something.
