Perhaps it’s different in pve, but this week I’ve done around 200+ arenas, both 2s and 3s, on 2 separate toons. I’ve done a bunch of bgs, got wins, 2 torg runs, etc.
With all of that, I have not gotten a single renown from that content. The only reliable source so far has been callings.
Is it this rare in pve as well? I pretty much exclusively pvp in wow, and this renown catch up seems really punishing since I changed cov’s.
The system is entirely too vague, no drop rates that I can find, and personally I find it to not be very fun considering how much time I’ve invested to not get any bonus renown.
I’m really not a fan of adding another progress bar type of chore, but at this point, I’d be happy if there was something to guarantee renown catch up after ‘x’ amount of end game content. I don’t know what a solution would look like, but something better than the random drops would be highly preferable in my case.
example: 50 pts = 1 renown. Raid boss gives 12pts, dungeon completion gives 8 pts, arena wins give 4 pts. Numbers hypothetical, not meant to be actual numbers, just spitballing.
Maybe even keep the randomness to drops as they are, with this added to it. That way instead of consistent disappointment, its instead a nice surprise while working towards a goal - not feeling brickwalled.
Im aware that if you’re at the previous weeks cap, you do not get renown catch up. This is not that. I’m currently renown 9 and under 15 on my alt
