Been on and off leveling the last few less than 70 guys I have in dragon land primarily so I can get some of the dragon customization items and pad my renoun there a bit for profession patterns.
I have noticed that quests I have already done on one toon still reward renoun when I do them on another while War within quests don’t.
Struck me as odd and made me wonder if it was an oversight or by design.
Oversight/side effect of warbound rep being backported to DF, vs being designed with it in mind from TWW.

I like it to be honest, reduces the number of WQs and contracts I need to purchase. Wish that the current quests did the same, but I understand why they don’t.
They know people like to play alts, but don’t want to make that a massive advantage, especially if there’s going to be power/gear worth getting early locked behind renown (which there usually is).

If that were the case we’d be max after the 3rd/4th character that did the full thing.
Which… honestly I think would be fine given the time it takes. Then again gating be the name of the time-metrics-engagement game.
I’m going back and working on BfA reputations and goodness they’re a bit more of a grind!

Perhaps it will change after the item levels get a bit higher than what is available from the quartermasters?
Was going to start farming some of the older reps on my alts for patterns, but I am going to hold off to see if they start making those accountwide.
Not likely. The Champion gear and Enchanted Runed crest are pretty good.
I think it’s the plan but I reckon it’s going to take some time.
Your idea of waiting is a good one because if it ends up working like Dragonflight did the optimal play to hit exalted (on many reps tho not all) would be to do the questlines on an alt.

That would match with past dev statements.
Updating a lot of old reps to work with warbands will happen, but it’s going to take time.
