Around the 7th of Feb (or was it the 4th of Feb) we did our weekly heroic clear of Amirdrassil, we killed Fyrakk (No legendary this week), and the Extremely rare Renewed proto-drake transmog item dropped for me. I used it right away, went over to where i needed to use this bad boy, AND the blazing is locked. Please help me
I also had the same issue. Dropped for me 21/02 and I used the item in my inventory however I still do not have the appearance unlocked.
Same issue. I submitted a ticket. I thought for sure this was an easy one to resolve as there is also a quest to complete after looting the item. Simply verify the quest was complete, then unlock the item.
CS replied with “Report as a bug.” I was surprised this was the “solution” to the problem. Although, I shouldn’t be due to layoffs of Blizzard CS. Well, I submitted a bug and now I wait and hope. GL to others affected.
Are you sure there’s a quest to complete after getting it?
I got it a few weeks back and I was able to apply the skin right away.
I guess it could’ve been for something else. I thought it was a quest for that though.
The quest is just to hand it in to Nozdormu I think it is standing at back of raid. he give s you the form then and there. This happened to me today on 30/05/24. Ran Heroic - got the drop. Ironically there was a guy at the start of the raid complaining this had happened to him. I suggested he submit a ticket. I then won unbelievably - and SAME PROBLEM. Unbelievable Blizz - I have been farming it for ages. i was so happy to win it. So disappointing.
That quest is for the AotC manuscript which is different from the Blazing one. Blazing is a straight drop that you can learn on the spot, as was suggested in the OP.
