Rendering Scaling no longer working as of 10.2

I personally use rendering scaling to keep the UI at 4K while rendering the game at 1440p ie. 66% render scale.

As of 10.2, or maybe even one of the hotfixes during the week, render scale is entirely borked. There’s now no difference in FPS whether I use 100% scale ie. 4K resolution or 1440p ie. 66% scale. Before this was almost or over a 2x increase in performance. Setting the game to running native 1440p causes a far blurrier experience on a 4K monitor.

Was wondering if anyone has a found a way to solve this issue? I’ve tried setting the API to DX11 and Legacy, but these only further degrade performance. Also tried the otherwide upscaling methods, but it seems the problem is something with the render scaler specifically. It’s like it’s doing nothing at the moment.

For help with solving this, I’m running on a i7-12700KF & 4070 Ti with 32 GB of DDR4 3200 Mhz RAM.

I was having an issue with this the first few days of the patch. Lowering the render scale below 100% would drop 40fps. The issue went away for a couple days, but now every time I open a window (character pane, talking head frame, alert frame), it drops 40 fps again. Really odd that they somehow broke render scaling with this patch.
