I havent tanked on my guardian seriously since WoD, is pulverize still the best viable choice or should is the rend and tear talent optimal.

Rend and Tear is my go to.
Pulverize was nerfed down to a 10 second duration, and only affects physical damage (unless they decided to be smart and change this to all damage sources).
Early expansion, and learning fights and what not, I’d say Rend and Tear for a constant 9% damage reduction and nearly 100% uptime.
Once you’re able to predict and know pulls/mechanics and can work around those, pulverize
