Since this spec in no way in resembles a martial artist anymore, what should it be renamed to?
I suggest Faeline Dancer, or Animator since we apparently just summon statues now. Weirdly enough the healing spec resembles a martial artist more than the dps spec.

Feels sad that we have arrived at this point…
This is just the preview though right? Just like DF talent trees with statues and 2 talent points for 4% movement speed was just Alpha talents. First iteration? Ok, surely they will change in Beta?
We surely won’t go live with a capstone talent to increase BdB radius by 50%? Surely they won’t leave the talents like this for a whole expansion right? Right??
I’m running low on hopium here guys, send help.

They need to change it to Pokemon Master. Why fight when you can summon wild animals to do your battles for you. Need something a little more stoic, here summon this statue. Need a extra hand here summon 3 clones. You are offically the Pokemon Class now.

The Monk creator left Blizz a few expansions ago and no one picked up the torch (for WW)

All of you are cringe and don’t know what you are talking about. Monk always had a heavy celestial theme and hero talents provide 2 different avenues to lean into each fantasy. Statues are so irrelevant you can just not talent them. The only “pet” is Xuen

Yeah sorry, but I don’t get this thread.
You summon a statue of your patron celestial once every two minutes- you don’t “just summon statues”. You can also get that celestial to aid you in battle (which is quite fitting).
If you don’t like Storm, Earth, and Fire then take Serenity. If you don’t like the celestials tree then take the Shado-Pan one. Its martial arts focused for that very reason.
I understand not liking a ground targeted zone, but the chi energy itself is the focal point of the whole tree. Harnessing the chi is the pinnacle of this martial art and why you can punch a dragon and actually hurt it. Harnessing the chi is how you heal, teleport, and everything else a monk can do.

honestly i like the idea of summoning celestials while doing our rotation, what i dont like is that horrible statue, i just use it anymore because is SOOOO BADDDDD at least not on m+, and i think ww is a good place to summon celestials, i just think that they didn’t do a great job at it, maybe getting niu zao to help us on proc or when we use RSK we summon niu zao to stomp enemies that would be nice, that way our st ability becomes an aoe/cleave for m+ also mw could get something from that, but hey let’s see what happens because i really doubt blizz is gonna say anything back to us, like “hey we listen and working on something else”

Which is pretty much mandatory, which is the problem.
No one complained when Xuen was a choice in the old MOP era talent trees, because here is the thing, we have a lot of summoning classes and specs, as the game currently is, there isn’t a single pure unarmed martial arts class or spec in the game.

oh no you get a tiger every 2 minutes when theres an entire expansion dedicated to said celestials and their intertwine with monks
find a different game if you expect that fantasy to not exist
Summoning xuen was optional from the start and only became mandatory from SL foward, I just want that, to have a choice.
