Removing the faction barrier has not been good for the game

i would have preferred that alliance stay with alliance and horde stay with the horde.

In what ways has it not been good for the game? I’m curious about your thoughts :dracthyr_love_animated:

I think it’s too blanket a statement.

There’s no doubt loosening the barrier has been helpful in some ways. People being able to do things on other alts and play with their friends still is a good thing.

Narratively, I agree. I think it’s caused more issues than I would like and I am so tired of the power of friendship being shoved down my throat this expansion.

So make faction specific groups.

I also dislike crossfaction but

They had to mostly because of high end content like M+ drying up on the Alliance, to a certain point it became unfair in BFA how bad it was to be Alliance.

The only thing I would say is that they now need to balance alliance racials because there’s no reason to have those racials as incentives since the faction barrier is down.

That’s cool. It’s completely valid. But the majority of us are tired of it being a barrier to play with friends.

did blizzard remove the ability for you to purchase a faction change?

Aww, look at you thinking we should have to pay money to play with friends.

Cute.

Oh didn’t know you got the game for free.

if you don’t want to spend money to change to horde, then just level up a horde toon
 that’s free right there

Blizzard doesn’t even pretend to play lip service to Horde players anymore. They’ve been writing off the Horde since Legion and things have not improved.

Horde players got more of it in Dragonflight, with Tyrande playing center stage and having to play waiter at her Alliance Tea Party at the end.

To be entirely fair on this one, and like I said, I agree in that people being able to play with one another is a good thing – but this was the solution for the longest time was either you decide you wanna move something over to the other faction, and hell, the other realm of the person you wanna play with. Or it was that you level something up over there.

There was nothing wrong with this either. I have more than one priest for reasons like that, which have now become reserve priests so I have other people to play arena with on classes I am comfortable with.

There’s always been cost effective / time effective ways of playing with friends no matter the situation in this game unless someone was unwilling to compromise. “I will only play blood elves, nothing will stop me from playing blood elves, and in no way shape or form even to play with you, my dearest friend, will I not play a blood elf.” ← This is the only situation in which someone did not have some kind of option where they could play with friends that was, if you elected to take the time to level (which has always been a joke in WoW) just a little time consuming, and otherwise free.

I agree. Times have changed.

It’s that simple.

One thing hasn’t changed: The staff at Blizzard continue to crap all over the Horde, and Horde players.

i really wish dwarf racial would stop being SO OP
i dislike having to play a dwarf for progression

At least there should be some tension in War Within if Talanji is helping with the alliance/horde expedition underground. :microscope::robot:

and i’m eager to see how chaotic it’ll be when she sees Anduin.:robot:

She’ll have a couple lines and then we’ll be spending more time with Alleria.
