Removing pets from MM goes against Blizz’s stated goal of keeping the RPG in MMORPG

My thought is that they may try to add a talent later called “true companion” or something that

“True companion”
“Allow you to call one of your non exotic pets from your stable to accompany you around for a flat % reduced damage”

Working kind of like a reverse lone wolf.

In our next PTR build, there will be a choice node on Improved Spotter’s Mark called “Unbreakable Bond” that restores Call Pet and associated pet functionalities such as Mend Pet, Dismiss Pet, etc.

You absolutely called it too lol.

And my guess was copy/pasting bm’s “animal companion” talent to just replace the eagle with a stable pet.

Sometimes you have to take something away to improve it. The way they went about it was pretty bad though lol.
Unfortunately mm’s pet has pretty much lost all functionality outside utility. So hopefully since they decided to go this route, they’ll start making improvements to the actual pet going forward. Because I’d really love to see it become involved in part of the rotation (if they go with a pet type build)
