Vicious Jeweler’s Setting costs 12500 honor to get… that’s the equivalent of purchasing a full set of honor gear for an alt. I purchased some the day before patch release only to log in and find out the item has been removed from the game and deleted from my bags. What an absolutely wonderful way to waste players time and not even put this in the patch notes. Cheers Blizzard! (PvP Season has not started yet nor has the currency been reset)
Why would they let you farm sockets in Season 1 for Season 2?

It’s not season 2 yet. Some currencies were reset. Others weren’t. Sockets from the Vault vendor can still be used on season 1 gear.
Yes, but let’s be honest; OP had no intention of using the S1 PvP sockets on S1 PvP gear.

Assumptions aren’t an argument. And still missing the point: they were not transparent about what things would and would not work. Some even stopped working prior to patch day.
The lack of communication is the issue. The inconsistency is the issue. They knew people have been asking what they should spend and use. They saw all of the posts and questions on social media previously. They said nothing.

The notion that you’d have the ability to drag free sockets across seasons is naive at best.

No, it really isn’t.
This isn’t a new story. This is EXACTLY what happens every single patch and season.
Seasons have been consistent and very predictable for YEARS.
Of course, nothing from S1 can be used in S2. Or anything from one patch, will work on the next one. That is THE GAME.
Reset and refresh.
The denial that players live in is the problem. I don’t understand why when things are not explained constantly like you’re five, players immediately jump to the only conclusions that benefit them, when the evidence says otherwise.

You keep going back to an assumption when OP clearly stated that he knew there was no season 2 stuff yet and season 1 stuff is half working.

I bought sockets last week and today. Forgot they were on my alt and used them today. Used the new ones today.
PvE season 1 purchasing and using sockets still works.
PvP somehow get deleted.
Some currencies were unusable prior to patch. Others are still usable.
Catalyst is still usable for season 1.
Delves still work for season 1.

To my knowledge blood stones are not going away you could just horde them.
Nope. The season officially ended. It even says so in the game.
This is the “no season” week that has always existed, while PvP tallies are worked on and such. That is why you can’t keep pushing season one ratings on M+ or PvP.
No they don’t.
You can play a delve, just like you can pvp. But you cannot push the progress on the delve seasonal rewards, just like you can’t push pvp rating.
Yes they absolutely do.
You can still get season 1 gear from them, along with season 1 achievements.
I was able to buy my season 1 socket and use it today. I was able to use the two sockets I bought last week today. I was able to use the season 1 Catalyst.
There is zero consistency and zero transparency.
