Removing faction locks on cities outside warmode

Not for any story reasons even though a 5 year long peace is kinda it, but because still having to corpse hop to clear the Exodar and Silvermoon maps on toons of the other faction is annoying as all hell.

Look I might have tolerated it more if the Silvermoon guards didn’t just spawn out of thin air to one shot one of my toons three times in a row. It’s a dying mechanic for a dying system.

Yes, you are certainly dying. That’s what you get for entering hostile territory.

If you’re pretty well geared you can beat up the guards and kill them easily. I took a tour through ThunderBluff to murder cows for kicks and giggles.

LFR gear is good enough for murder fun tours.

This is what we call the bonk tax. It’s applied to the opposing faction in our city. It increases the further you stay

Okay but I hate turning on pvp like a lot, being on ED for an expansion and a half cured me of ever wanting to do anything remotely akin to wpvp
