Got a question about removing an embellishment from a bow (fang adornment I believe). Right now my bow is at ilvl 437. I want to remove the fang so that I can equip another crafted piece that has the shadowflame armor kit on it. I read about Griftah’s powder to remove the fang, BUT, I am wondering if there is a chance that the ilvl of the bow could go down. I got lucky with an inspiration proc to get the 437 ilvl and don’t want to take a chance on it lowering.
So, is there a chance it could lower the ilvl if I remove the fang via recrafting?
Yeah, it’s true. It can happen. Ask a crafter if they’d make sure it’s rank 5 with a Illus. Insight. I could do it on my Monk, Blessedjinx, for you, if you’re on Area 52 or your server is tied to it.
Just recraft it it again if it goes down. Recraft is so cheap its mostly just a 5 minute time sink. Not something you have to worry about.
Ive not once paid someone to use an insight to guarentee top rank. I usually just put crafters on ignore that try to sell me that for some outrageous fee. Theres plenty of tip only crafters with 40%+ r5 proc chance out there.
Thanks all, I was afraid of that. Seems kinda dumb that the ilvl could change when I am simply removing an embellishment.
Oh well, it is what it is.
If you find a sufficiently skilled LW and use t3 mats on the recraft, the wyrm level bow is guaranteed to be 437 100% of the time without an insight
