So why don’t you explain to us what feels good about the mechanics outside of raids bosses, instead of just saying for the RP value and theme of being a void priest?
You haven’t answered anyone, and just keep going on with this victim mentality of it being a witch hunt against you. If you want to debate it great! I’d love to hear another perspective. What you’ve been doing however is just trying to make it about YOU instead of the class.

this isnt a hate thread. you didnt really do much on your priest before legion. the rest of us however who have played priest for a long time had our class essentially deleted and replaced with something completely different…we just want our class back.

I stand corrected she played shadow not seriously since about 2009 but only got serious in Legion. She doesn’t really care about the community as long as she gets to keep VF. She stated that multiple times.

I’ve played this game 12 years and my priest is from 2009 and I have had plenty of discussion on these forums and do not wish to engage this discussion about me further as it has nothing to do with anything I’ve said on THIS thread.
it has quite a bit to do with it. as far as your profile is concerned youve had your priest for a while but you havnt done anything on it until 2018.

Yea looking at Raid history, it appears Nyelle has only actively run raids during Legion and onwards.
Only a very SMALL handful of times running anything previous.
So my only conclusion is that Nyelle has little to none experience with Pre Void Form Priest which take that as you will.

why would I play shadow when it was orbs since I’m so against it?
why does any of this matter? Did I play my shadow as my main in many years during legion? yes…because it became compelling to play over my other toons
2 dozen times for Morrowgar and even less for the rest of the bosses I still consider “a handful of times” when it was out for like a year or more.
For the record, I like every iteration of Shadow except for Void Form as It is loaded with issues that I saw the 1st day I got access to Legion beta and was like… ugg lol.
Also, I haven’t seen/read/paid much attention to your posts so I am unfamiliar with your stances. So your actively against Shadow Orbs? Can I ask why?

It’s really easy to see someone’s post history, and I’m truly burnt out on this as it becomes so personal on these forums. The short answer is, they are boring to me and feel like other spec designs - I hate builder/spender type systems; they are not compelling. In wrath dot management (and deciding if clipping flay) was was more of a gameplay thing especially before pandemic timers and I enjoyed that back then- orbs felt FORCED and AWKWARD to throw on top of the spec. I woudn’t want the wrath version back, it’s also a gameplay design that’s far dated at this point. but orbs? It’s not for me; and terribly played out in the game design. Voidform plays in a way that no other spec design has ever delivered on in playing the game this long. I could write a novel about this; but it’s already ground I’ve tread before.
I would agree Void Form is different.
But the fact is, it doesn’t work. It literally doesn’t work is most content.
So what you have is Shadow Pre Void Form works / functions in all content available (though usually at a cost of the hybrid tax but most didn’t mind compare to Void Form functionally) then its deleted from the game and all shadow priests were thrusted an all new non-functioning spec that has continuous issues each patch and each era of wow with no signs of it improving. Its just getting worse the longer they keep it around. It is simply rotting with blizz not wanting to toss it out and either take Shadow in a fresh new direction or back to what works.
Hell I’d take Classic Shadow over Void Form. Mana issues and all lol. At least I have control over what and when I want to do what I want without feeling forced (player agency).

Its sad and funny. When I play my DH, I plow over any/all Shadow priests I come across. Even high gear ones (my Dh is just 440ish ilvl).
Because I know how limited they are, I have no fear and just trash them. Its dumb.

My issue with voidform is that it feels bad when trying to level my priest alt. I find it feels smoother to level as any other class.

Since Priest has only one dps spec, it should be simple & straightforward.
Void Form, or a mechanic like it, should be given to a class with multiple dps specs.

I totally agree with you, orbs was so much fun and very direct. You could easily balance it and fix it.
