Removed From Group Instead of a Res?

I’ve reported this behavior before, I do not know what else to do. In timewalking dungeons specifically, I have experienced this the most.

After an ENTIRE GROUP wipe, mid dungeon, while actively participating, the group has removed me from the group, immediately after dying, im doing dps/participating, zero out of the usual, but instead of the healer just casting a res, i am removed from the group, no chat, no “are you there” nothing, just dead, then kicked.

This game already SUFFFFFFFERS from a toxic M+ community, this behavior bleeds into the LFG/LFR queues and it’s insufferable. I need to do these gated quests to get the gear I am looking for because that’s how the flow works in this game. Nothing I want to do more than run some dungeons and be chill, it’s LFG finder for gods sake, the bar is low to entry as-is, we got people routinely doing 300k or less while I as a lvl 80 am putting out over a million damage, essentially already needing to carry the group. which is fine in itself, no complaints but now you add in the fact that these are the same people just clicking vote kick and everyone agrees without any chance of intervention.

Literally not touching timewalking again, figure out how to fix this culture - it sucks, it makes the game suck to the person it’s happening to. there are options like running with guildies, but what the hell - why is the best way to play this game not the default freaking way to play this game. so tired of it, years and years of toxicity,

everyone signed this new social policy but there’s nothing being enforced or rather there is zero way to defend yourself from pinheads who are just doing this to everyone they want. is this just a false sense of security? why am i having such a constant trash experience anytime i want to play without a freaking guild.

After they released and ran back… like you could have?

Blizzard policy is that vote kicks can be for any reason, and no - they will not action people for simply vote kicking. Maybe you can change to a different character for a bit? Also, yeah, if I die in TW I just release and run back. I don’t always manage to get back because my eyesight is garbo, but meh. It’s honestly whatever, especially in a TW dungeon.

sure let me clarify, i stayed alive until they were almost back, it would have taken seconds to res - if you’re justifying zero communication removal from group you are equally a part of the issue.

I’m just trying to get your story straight.

No need to get in a twist.

fair - this happened to me moments ago, for not the first time, and that is not just bad odds it’s bad eggs

Search group finder tool for WME groups.

Seems like maybe you should say something when you die if it keeps happening.

I can honestly say I haven’t been in very many tw groups that wipe.

it happens in timewalking, esp BFA, a lot, the bridge that tosses you way up, nuked half our group, i being more geared/dodged the mechanic i lived much longer.

There’s a doorway at that part that if you stand in it the ceiling stops you from launching up so high that there’s fall damage on the way back down.

I’m assuming you’re talking about kings rest?

Sounds to me like you did something to annoy the group.

Could be that you didnt walk back like they had to.
Could be something you did or said earlier on.
Could be because they didnt like your mog.

The fact is at least 3/5 people decided they wanted to remove you from the group. Pick yourself up and move on. Dont cry about it in the forums.

it does seem that way, do you normally announce you’ve died in chat if the group has died or yourself in a dungeon though? you’re asking things that aren’t normal behavior to combat things that are, more broken behavior. my rant is the system is broken and far more favors trolls in this way. why not even try to res a dead party member? maybe i get booting them if they never accepted a res or some such, do you see what im saying? it’s a dungeon MMO, this is fundamental

You know, I’ve never been kicked from a timewalking dungeon…ever. With all these posts on GD, I can’t tell if I’m doing something wrong or something right lol.

it sounds like everyone else ran back and you didn’t

edit: read further down, saw you stayed alive until they were almost back.

that’s a toss up. do you release and run back and risk a kick because you’re behind the gr oup? do you wait for a rez and risk a kick because of waiting? hard to know what other people are gonna do.

I’d just write this one off and go again.

While I have no personal feelings either way what can be perceived in a bad way are ‘Boss heroes’ or mob pack heroes. I.E There is a player trying to fully solo a boss at 70% health while the rest of the party is dead. It can be seen as you wasting their time.

Yeah, worst I’ve been in was 3/5 people dead on a boss. I’ve definitely been vote kicked before myself because I don’t see very well and get very stuck in confusing dungeon areas when I’m new to them (or if the dungeon has meh respawn points that make it hard to run back after a late death), but like… The group can decide they don’t want someone there for whatever reason, and I don’t blame them at all for frustration with someone getting stuck. I generally just do something else for 30 minutes.

I do wish we had follower for old Dungeons, actually, because that way I can learn the dungeon pathing without bothering any people. I don’t see some paths very well so seeing where the followers path is genuinely helpful in my case.

read above, they were nearly back at me by the time i even died, it was not a boss fight and the dead members were almost back to where i just went down, it wasn’t bravado, it was mechanic dodging, and i lived in this scenario. we can keep picking this apart but there was no words exchanged the entire dungeon and there was no incident prior.

And people wonder why reports and tickets take so long.

This is not a reportable offense. Blizzard has said that time and time again. The group decided.

that would be annoying, but was not the case

On the occasion I die in a TW it’s usually followed by an “lol” or an “oops” followed by a “res plz” if I’m not walking back, followed by a “ty” after the res.

On group wipes I run back.

I’ve never had a problem with getting kicked :dracthyr_shrug:

How was your DPS? Maybe it was related, people can be kind of judgemental about it, which is silly in a TW.
