i never sad that, all i said is its 100% achievable without having to spend gold. I will also double down in saying the only thing gold does is the ability to save time on gearing, hardly a advantage.

There are many reasons people buy carries and/or BoEs. You stated you can’t buy gear with gold, I proved that you can. What does time have to do with anything? If I’ve the gold I’ve no need to put up with guild antics and schedules if all I really care about is the gear.
Gold accomplishes just about anything you want in the game, other than feeling accomplished by having earned it through teamwork. YOu can’t buy that feeling of taking down a boss after your guild has wiped a hundred times on it but you can definitely buy the same gear they get.

Not everyone is “skilled” enough to clear heroic or mythic nor can they do a +15 key. Same goes for pvp I’ve seen people with hundreds of games at 1400-1600. That’s when WoW tokens come into place. You buy them and buy carries with the gold from them.
It’s not a coincidence that we’ve been seeing probably 1x as many carry ads in BfA over Legion. And I fully expect to see an order of magnitude more in Shadowlands.
The big profit now is token sales to finance paid carries. This is a feature, not a bug. I don’t know why anyone is surprised.
Because people use phrases and words all the time without knowing or understanding their meaning. Much like you do.

Sometimes I wish Blizzard would introduce real pay to win economics to the game so these people would understand what it really means. Yet I always wake up on how petty and damaging that would be.

Buying a carry is a lottery ticket. You aren’t guaranteed anything. You may get a gear upgrade. You may not. But that isn’t “winning” really. And it isn’t “PTW.” You are paying gold for another player’s time, which is different from paying Blizzard for an advantage over other players.

Really so if I want a new chest piece with certain stats your going to guarantee that when you carry me right? Having to carry someone into a dungeon to grant them a chance at a drop is not what I would consider buying gear.

Just so you know OP. Blizzard could sell literal gear from the raids on their cash shop and that wouldn’t be Pay to Win.
Pay to win is when they sell something that affects the power of the player BEYOND what is possible to obtain in game. Meaning no matter how hard someone else works in game they will never be able to compete with the person who pays. So the person with the fatter wallet will always win. Hence the name Pay to Win.
