Please either get rid of world buffs or make them not work in raids. They are not needed at all. We already have too much power and the parsing culture can still parse without those buffs. Just get rid of them. The cancerous port selling and buff selling culture needs to die anyway.

There is literally zero benefit. We are already naax level powered. The try hards just want bigger numbers because bigger numbers better? Fine, make the numbers bigger. Just get rid of world buffs and put that power in the classes. It’s totally pointless.

Warriors are garbage outside of raid as a result of balancing around world buffs. The part that some people thought was fun (being overpowered when you have world buffs) doesn’t exist when you’re balancing around them. Just get rid of it.

Balancing around world buffs means that, by definition, your character’s power is drastically different in raid than in the open world. And Warriors suck in the open world as a result. They are only playable in raid when you have every world buff possible.
The SoD team has actually done a pretty good job with raid balance… that same balance, minus world buffs, would make SoD perfect.
Classic Era is great because every class is totally fine without world buffs. The buffs are just extra. In SoD, they’re not, they’re mandatory for your class to function.
I’ve cleared MC in a group of just Paladins in normal classic. It’s not necessary. The mmo community has shifted to parsing number 1 equals fun instead of the gameplay being fun. If you did your job and the boss died, but you were middle of the pack on some random website that measures all this nonsense, then apparently you didn’t have fun? It’s confusing to me. None of that stuff should exist. Simulation craft, raider . io, and even dps meters are just being overused. Get rid of DBM to while we’re at it. Go back to just playing the game. World Buffs are just a part of a larger theme of extremism in games these days.

I enjoy world buffs. It’s part of the ritual to get ready for raid.
BTW you can already get rid of them. Just don’t get them!
what’s next, getting rid of consumes?
Just have them be the difficulty levels.
heat 1 : anything allowed
heat 2 : removes world buffs
heat 3 : removes consumes
