Title says it all. It’s the most annoying thing ever and if you happen to die for wathever reason, the fun is over. No way to be competitive.
Also, idling 4 hours just to let pass a stupid timer(Why isn’t the timer starting on acquisition of the buff instead of when it fades?).
And I can’t even play my toon now after I use drums since it cannot be booned(Wich is the reason boons exist in the first place(to let people play their char).
Taking a trip to Elweynn as Horde or Mulgore doesnt promote anything but AFK Queuing WSG btw
Sick of this stupid meta, I love classic but world buffs is just stupid.
Classic andys are obsessed with them because it allows them to not have to do (the very few) mechanics that classic raids have
why anyone wants their player power tied to temporary buffs that you realistically only pop for raid is beyond me
every other version of the game including tbc and wotlk, raiders don’t care about them and are glad they don’t exist, so it’s definitely a small subset of the classic-only player base that loves them for some reason
they say it makes the world lively and active but idk, getting summoned to pick a flower isn’t really skilled, and the chronoboon all but did away with the “effort” in collecting them.
World buffs are a cancer on the game. Raid content has to be tuned with buffs in mind, meaning people that absolutely NEED the buffs won’t see content after a death, which always happens due to artificial confidence from said buffs. No world buffs leads to numerous wiped, and the subsequent burnout from constantly spending gold just to wipe repeatedly each week.
All they do for guilds able to do the content without them is cut down on time spent actually playing the content - the exact opposite of the intention of Season of Discovery.
Just have world buffs strip when entering a raid instance. Problem solved.
Small minority of classic diehards like them
Because it’s basically the only way they’ll ever be high on meters or in parses, that’s basically the main reason.
People who actually enjoy raiding don’t like them because raid prog is heavily determined by having them. People who like sweating parses don’t like them because you can’t parse unless you and the rest of your raid has them, so it’s another annoying hurdle there.
I don’t want to get world buffs
I don’t want raids bigger than 10m
I don’t want to pvp for wsg rep
I don’t want to join a guild to raid
I don’t want to look for a group to do a dungeon
All I ever see on these forums. Just a vague way of saying “I don’t want to play classic”
There is plenty to do, just because you don’t want to do it or rushed through it doesn’t mean it’s bad. You also don’t have to play the game 24/7, there are other things to do in life.
