Remove Windfury Totem from GCD

When running Doom winds legendary it feels very clunky pressing windfury totem to activate doom winds, imo it should be how legion was when doom winds was not on gcd.

Doom Winds is already the best enhancement legendary by a wide margin, clunky windfury totem may be but I don’t think they should be further buffing Doom Winds.

Its not really a buff to doom winds. Sure it might buff it by association but depending on the fight you are dropping the totem just because the tank moved the boss out of range of the totem and i will admit it feels very clunky to have to stop everything to drop another totem with or without the doom winds.

Has nothing to do with doom winds. People want to macro it to SS so they can roll face over keyboard

Maybe this is a dumb question either way, but does the Shaman benefit from its own Windfury Totem? Or do only other people in the party benefit?

This would be horrible for PvP. You would oom before casting a single healing surge.

Probably the real answer is to take Lust (Shamanism) off the GCD.

naw we’re pretty much at 6+ globals anyways
open with
flame shock
fae transfusion (or any other class ability)
feral spirts
windfury doom winds totem
ascendance
then rotation

at the very least thats 5 globals

They do? I thought the Windfury weapon imbue was a higher chance already and that the totem was for the other party members???

Read the tool tips. They are entirely different effects. This ain’t Classic.

Not sure why Enhance has so many GCD CDs. At the very least Feral Spirit and Shamanism should be off GCD.

Where do you even see that? Old comments? They are entirely different effects now (proc’d damaged vs extra swings).

Non dps abilities/buff abilities like Windfury should be off of GCD by default.

WIndfury totem should not be balanced/nerfed around a legendary. Esp when Enh isn’t doing broken dps numbers anyways.

Enhance has about 8 abilities that should be removed from the gcd.

Windfury totem needs to NOT be a totem at all; instead, it should be a passive. Something like:

When windfury proccs, charge your allies weapons with air for 10 seconds, giving their melee attacks a 20% chance to trigger an additional attack.

It would remove this senseless upkeep, especially considering how much other crap we have to maintain in our normal rotation.
