It’s been a few months since BFA launched. No one in their right mind needs Wakening Essences anymore. I’m so happy that four almost a month all my Legion Reroll tokens have been useless Wakening Essences.
WE. DON’T. NEED. THESE. I’d rather get 150 gold, at least I can use that.
There is no reason for Essences to be a ‘reward’ now.

I need them. I need them so that I can buy leveling legendaries since they are superior to other gear.

you could just not do Legion content. I still do them on alts to get them for transmog and leveling benefits :B

Remove relics for 120s instead.

You can use them to buy legendaries for transmog, and they’re still superior for timewalking.

I usually skip those. But my newly leveled toons always get their first legendary immediately on turning 101, and have a second waiting for them when they unlock the research.
Bad idea. Choose other world quests.

As the associated items are also an appearance that some players will still want, so options were added to allow there collection, with account bound options for alts. So no need to remove the items yet.

If you don’t have all the legendaries, they are useful.

And yes, I still need all the Wakening Essences. I haven’t finished my legendary collections for all my characters yet.

You mean ADD relics for 120s.
I’d take my Artifact back in a heartbeat.
Then we should also remove Motes of Darkness, Seals of Tempered Fate, Apexis Crystals, Argunite Crystals, Nethershards… I could go on.
Some of the legendaries have tmog appearances so they are still useful in obtaining those.
