I hope dragon flying is required to experience end game content; you’ll have to race to the dungeon entrance.
If you don’t make it, you lose all your ilvl and have to dragon race again to build it up and then try to race to the dungeon entrance.
Also, dragon kart racing!! Yeah - make it happen Blizz!!
With maxed dragon riding, you never have to land and pretty much always have vigor, even if you’re hopping between gathering nodes.
It’s meant to feel like you’re slowly learning how to do it, but once it’s mastered, you’re flying like it’s nothing. It’s an amazing system.

I wonder how many dragon riding skills all of these complainers have unlocked? Your complaints can’t be taken seriously if you haven’t even put the time needed to progress in the system

Everyone trying to make out that i’m lying… lol
Almost every time I fly, I double jump to go in to the air (1 Vigor) then Spin (3 Vigor), travel anywhere from 100-1000yds if i’m doing something and land with 2-3 Vigor left… do the thing i’m doing, then repeat, at which point i’m usually back up to 6 Vigor again.
Once you have it maxed out, you can go crazy on your Vigor spend and not run out.
You can literally take off, point up, and use Vigor once after the other to hit the sky box and still have 1-2 Vigor left over, then go wherever you want.
Just because you have not witnessed it doesn’t mean it’s not true. It’s almost impossible to run out of Vigor while flying while max’d out unless you literally press your buttons on cooldown, but if you’re doing that and not going up, that’s a you problem, and if you are going up, you’ll gain it all back on the journey back to the ground anyway.

Vigors fine, just get the glyphs and gg. If can’t be bothered hunting, grab handynotes.
Its in everyones best interest to go after the glyphs ASAP. Account Wide System

I can get from one side of the map to the other side 1 foot above the ground with zero issues with vigor. You just need to go get your glyphs.

I wish for everyone who wants normal flying on to get what they desire and have it be enabled so they can complain other players are zipping in front of them everywhere and they can’t go 830% fast.

People keep saying this stupid false dichotomy as if it’s a legitimate either/or. It’s not. They could enable flying tonight with the flip of a switch and make everyone happy, there is nothign but Ion’s ego keepign that form happening. DR fans would still have DR, regular flyer could putter around and afk fly from A to B with no thought. The only one who wouldn’t be happy is Ion because he hates regular flying and has been whining about it in every interview since he became lead.
And before anyone argues that regular flying would trivialize DR, etc, etc… Know that you can collect the glyphs while in Ride-Along mode. You could literally have a friend or pay someone to do it for you while you take a nap.
Because in doing so they turned it into a flying brick that takes half a mile to turn, can’t hover, has poor maneuverability and is about as responsive as an overloaded chinook.

If Vigor was removed there would be no point to Dragonriding. Leave it exactly as is and ignore feedback like this is what I would tell the Devs. Trust me when I say this Orthane. Gets better if you get all the Glyphs and train your Dragon fully.
Just like the threads we’ve seen (even still) demanding more representation, we all know that the next thing people like that would demand, is to be able on a normal mount to go 830% fast. We both know this would be the case, because these forums are never satisfied.

BTW you can also ride on someone else’s dragon and they can get the glyphs for you. So if anyone can’t handle it I’d happily sell them to you for the low price of 500k gold.

Are you playing with your feet? Literally none of this is true. Sure, you cant turn on a dime anymore. That just means you need to turn sooner.

vigor is not a problem.
I only have the three first talents purchased and I can stay flying for an infinite amount of time.
When this is the default answer from everyone who likes the system I’d say Blizz dropped the ball by having it start at a state where so many people feel like it’s trash.
(Much the same way they do with classes where they don’t feel fun till you’re maxed with all your borrowed power/tier bonuses)

As someone that played beta I can say very definitively the current iteration is a massive improvement over that. Do I think vigor is a problem? Yes especially for new players. But the reorder of the talents to allow for vigor regen when moving fast as the first talent you take fixes much of that. It only gets better from there.
Do I want normal flying too? Yes, there are advantages to that precision. But vigor isn’t the bane of dragonflight like it was on early and mid beta.
It sounds like people just want to afk on their air mount.

Paying customers have the right to complain. Especially subs cause that turns you into a member. Go shop at costco and watch the supervisor or managers get blasted for food or any other products.
Not being able to hover is a pretty big drawback. If dragonriding didn’t force autorun on it would be pretty cool
