Remove valor stones

im fine with crests but valor stones suck and is just a time sink when i thought blizzard was moving to respect players time.

I agree and in a season with 684 ilvl gear, endgame stuff below 639 shouldn’t even drop

I highly doubt anyone loves valor stones, but I also don’t think Blizzard is going to get rid of them. They’re a primary motivating factor in getting players to do certain content. It would be nice if they at least raised the cap though.

if they won’t remove them than at least lower the cost or make a better way to acquire them.

Stones were meant to get people out into the world to do other content and not just a lobby game.

Y’all are wasting time in a video game. This whole “respect muh time” stuff is kinda silly to me.

yeah they get me running through the shortest delve on 8 as a tank pulling everything to the end. yeah super fun…

I said it’s to get people out into the world. What you or I find fun or not wasn’t mentioned.

I get mine from world content and golden orbs of goodness. You do you. But design philosophy does not equate to our opinion on what we personally enjoy.

Their philosophy: this is a big MMO with a lot do and they want to keep all of the content relevant to everyone. So we have to find what we like to do, because this is their game and they want it populated in all different content.

If they remove the stones, then the crests will get spread out and then we’re in the same boat.

They just need to increase the amount that drops or remove the cap. I’d prefer removing the cap. It’s fine as a method to entice engagement.

This I could get behind. That cap annoys me. lol

I’m not.
As if we don’t have enough currencies to keep track of.

I think it’s fine to leave them in, but they should only be used for the upgrades that don’t require any crests.

I mean, if you have enough alts there technically isn’t a cap on them.

Reached 2K valorstones on one character with nothing to spend them on at the time? Spread them out to your alts.

They at least made them warbound transferable. You lose a percentage but that’s better than completely wasting them. Now new 80s get a boost from my main, who is always capped. :speak_no_evil::hear_no_evil::see_no_evil:

just for the mid/end of the season. i don’t believe it will remain account wide.

Sure. I’ve never had to spend any time explicitly farming valor stones, so I don’t know how they’re a time sink, but they also don’t do anything.

Can someone please explain how raising or removing the cap is helpful? I mean, if you are already at cap, then you obviously have nothing to spend them on.

Also how many pieces of gear are you upgrading at one time to burn through 2000 valorstones in one sitting?

So, you blame the gamers and not the game designers? lol …tell us you hate the community without telling us that you hate the community.

I understand your point of view, which is: “If you don’t like the game, then don’t play it!”

What you’re neglecting is that this game is an investment. We are placing our faith in Blizzard to be like almost every other gaming company out there in doing the right thing. Blizzard can make mistakes. OP’s claim highlights a poor game design. It should be fixed!

Fixing the game is why we give Blizzard our money! They’re using it to make more money. That’s a disrespectful approach with game design.

No go grind our time metrics for ceo- blizz

  1. Fully upgrading a single 2handed weapon is more stones than the 2000 cap.

we need less currencies, like they could’ve or rather should’ve kept the “valor” point system, since that was earnable through doing the stuff we enjoyed. (while also buffing the currency amount given with zero cap.)
