Remove "twinks" from LFD

Looking for dungeon is PLAGUED with decked out twinks running through them faster than usain bolt in the 2005 olympics. Please just group levels togeter. 10-19, 20-29 etc. It would STOP twinks from ruining dungeons and ALLOW people to ENJOI running them again. Seems like a no brainer. That or just remove the ability to enchant low level stuff with high level enchants and strip all current twinks of their gear. Thoughts?

leveling is a chore, low level dungeons suck, there’s no difficulty even without twinks. One level10 outdps your entire 55lvl party.

Having epic geared lvl20 twink is always a great thing.

I agree OP. It’s very frustrating to queue into a dungeon and have a low level locked character blasting everything before you even get a chance to cast a spell. NO I DO NOT want to just run along and collect xp.

The scaling is a mess. If they don’t or can’t fix it then I suggest barring xp locked characters from using LFD altogether.

I know this is another troll thread from Ililililili, but people really do need to make up their minds. Do you want people in the game or do you want to kick them out? Can’t make a thread one week concern-trolling over how people are left out of things and quit the game, then make another concern-troll the next week wanting to remove people from the game.

Groups of people do not “make up their minds”. Disagreements among group members is normal. Some people are going to think one way and some people are going to think another. Not everyone agrees with the majority. “Making up their minds” as a collective just doesn’t work.

I’m not talking about different people. I’m talking about the same person doing both of these things.

as if people run dungeons to enjoy them

So you get the option to queue with random people, but you don’t like the random people you get queued with.

Could go back to the old way of standing outside and building a group yourself. With a further bonus, the 5% boost with each rando in the party which will no longer plague you!

It’s weird how no one complains about the rando 5% boost, but its likely anyone complaining about leveling too fast is too ignorant to notice it.

If I wanted to level fast I’d have a high level player speed run me through dungeons like the old days. No, I don’t want to level fast, I want to learn my kit in the environment I plan to use it in when I get to max level.

Not everyone can just jump into a role or spec (they are new too) at max level and hit the ground running. For some of us, it’s easier to learn as we level up and gain one spell/ability at a time and get to practice using it before the next one comes.

omg no. twinks are the best part of queueing up for a dungeon. leveling sucks so when a twink joins the group it becomes a fun run. we should ban people who want to make dungeons and leveling take longer from running dungeons because they make it unfun.

then stop doing dungeons and start questing to learn your abilities because your talents arent going to be the same as max level and your play style wont be the same leveling as it will be in keys. unless your the only person getting them every run its not a problem getting a twink to speed run a dungeon and if it really is just leave the group. dont take it out on the other 4 people because your having fun wrong in a group content. if 4 people are having fun in a 5m group and your not then your the odd man out not them

No way!

You would just make it longer to get groups formed.

Nah I don’t feel like waiting 30 mins per dungeon at lvl 42.

Besides, who cares if they die fast? Faster lvling dungeon = more XP = lvl 70 faster.

It’s not like dungeons would be any more of a challenge without them.

I leveled a Resto Shaman from 25 to 40 in like 10 dungeons. Had tanks that would pull entire rooms / everything up to and including the first boss, and we’d live every single time. I don’t think I dropped below 80% mana ever. lol

So what if the mobs die 20% faster? I really don’t think the difficulty curve bends that much.

My one big issue with it is, it creates a horrible experience for a new player. They get in a dungeon, and don’t get to do anything because some twink nukes everything, then they get to cap and have no clue what they are supposed to do in a dungeon and get kicked non-stop, and quit the game, well that’s one less player of a game that isn’t exactly in the best shape population wise.

Enjoy your two hour long queues.

Exactly. If my end game is keys, leveling via dungeons makes more sense than questing. Questing isn’t going to teach anyone the things they need to know for group content. But if you can’t learn in dungeons how are you supposed to be prepared to start baby keys?

I do leave. Every time. I don’t want to run along after a twink collecting XP like coins in Mario. I will also leave if a dps queues as tank and runs through the dungeon in DPS spec.

Blizzard is either unable or unwilling to make leveling content matter and for some of us that sucks. Not everyone is leveling to try to reach end game as soon as possible.

Yes exacy, it happen to me 5 time!!!

I can smash dungeons regardless of whether my XP is stopped. You also want to prevent people from optimizing gear?

Ask Blizz to rebalance dungeons to make them harder by all means (I assume ya’ll would complain about that too). But if you’re the one trying to dictate to four other people how to run a dungeon, you’re the problem. Make a group yourself if you want to dictate how people play.
