If heirlooms covered every slot, maybe. Not the case as is. Twinks being so prominent in classic is one of the banes of classic, can’t even enjoy PvP while leveling as a result.

People always say WoW is too easy but when given a challenge they say its unfair and not fun, like as a mage I do have fun getting that satisfying kill on a twink so I’d definitely recommend figuring out strategies with your teammates to do the same and seeing it as a chance to really hone your skills on your class. Or start a twink yourself

Blizzard actually stated somewhere that were not enough twinks or non twinks to support a queue on their own.

Thats fine, let them sit in que all day to do nothing.

You don’t get kills on a twink unless they are afk. Lets stop being dishonest.

So you’re solution is to start a twink myself requiring hundreds of gold, a max level character, etc? Bad solution

Yes a blue post literally said that bad PvP games are still better than no PvP games, so people with XP turned off will now be queued with the general population. This happened recently for WotLK

This was prior to being able to que from anywhere.
Most games are 16-18/20 normal players.
Usually 1-2 twinks per team or 2 on one side.

TBH I think Twinking is the only real PVP in wow. since there is a gear ceiling. in theory everyone is a twink and everyone is already geared so they play to win.

I agree they should be in a separate queue but then neither of you would get to do BGs

I agree, twinking is a more pure form of PvP in WoW where you have to rely on your brain instead of the latest gladiator set you farmed. It is skill intensive so I understand why OP feels excluded

I mean, why not try it? The twinking community is pretty awesome last I was in it. Probably one of the best communities I have ever been apart of outside my close friends and guild.

Ideally this isn’t much of a barrier of entry. Even more so if you find other players who also twink.

Not really a requirement.

I can’t recommend it enough - make a twink. The process is pretty fun. Heck, I think everyone should make a twink.

Twinking is fun, takes some time to build up a character with the right gear and enchants but that’s part of the journey.

Law of averages, sometimes you’ll end up with the twinks on your team instead of against.

Not sure what you expect to get out of this forum? Not like the players in this thread can change it for you, and most think you’re overreacting. Skip BGs while you’re leveling up if running into twinks is that much of an issue. You’re only other option is to play with/against them otherwise.

If you put twinks in a separate que, the normal players willl not be unable to que for BGs.
With the ability to que from anywhere the participation went up drastically.
I would like to PvP on the way up to max without facing people that two shot me.
Im already going to have to face that at max level.
There is no challenge or counterplay as a twink playing against people in low level gear. How that is more challenging is beyond me.

My goal is to get this changed for Wotlk Classic. I do not care if people defending twinks agree with me or not. The only response I have gotten:

  1. Make one yourself - Terrible argument
  2. No one would be able to BG because there arent enough players - Terrible argument now that you can que from anywhere.

If competitiveness is what you crave as a twink, why would you not want to face other twinks. No one has yet to answer this because the real answer is you want to run around two shotting people for easy wins. There is no skill in this.

Being the twink stomping on poorly geared players isn’t the challenge. The challenge is poorly geared players overcoming the twink preferably by not going into PvP with terrible gear and/or team strategy to nullify the twink’s influence. Ideally you send another twink that is on your side after the twink on their side.

The only reasons why you have said this is a terrible idea is because of trivial barriers of entry - gold and a level cap character - neither of which are necessary if you seek out like minded individuals. The twink community wants more twinks involved and are typically pretty inviting to new players in their community if you find the right people.

You might be right about this but I think only the devs would know if it is true or not.

Not all twinks want this, some do. I guess I just don’t see any difference in any level of PvP - you either come geared for it or you’re going to get stomped on. Kill or be killed.
