i would like to play the game i paid for and not wait till april 12th to be able to actually play my characters correctly
not to mention there is apparently some braindead recharge mechanic with the catalyst so the rate you can craft your tier sets is also limited?

Yeah I adjusted my words after I decided not to insult “all casuals” because not “all casuals” are whining about this.
You timegate people never have enough. It’s like the day a patch drops you should have full tier and max ilvl gear and every boss should be available along with the ability to fly in a zone before you’ve even done some introductory quests.
The tier drops from the raid on any difficulty AND can be gotten from M+ / pvp sections of your great vault. It’s more accessible than it has ever been, AND there is a bad-luck-protection/catch up mechanic coming in April to scoot along anyone who didn’t get their drops. And you need it today, because you either didn’t play the game or you did but after only a couple weeks of trying you’ve thrown in the towel and want to be handed your drop.
It really sounds like an MMO that has a random chance to drop loot isn’t a good fit for you.

Creation catalyst coming out later down the road gives the ability to turn existing pieces of gear into tier.

Problem with this is it’s heavily RNG reliant. I do PvP mainly, I don’t do much PvE, so I can only get tier sets from the vault.
My options are very limited in that I have 3 chances per week (vault) for one of those to be a tier set piece. Another problem is, the tier set pieces that drop from the vault don’t even have the proper stats. (i.e, Haste/Mastery when every single piece of PvP gear has Versatility because it’s required for PvP)
And yet this a huge improvement since historically a pvp-only player wouldn’t have access to sets… but sure, if you only play one section of the game, you do have far less appreciable odds to acquire pieces from the other parts of the game.
Uh, tier sets have always been a thing on PvP gear. They were sold on the vendor, which currently, they aren’t being sold on the vendor.
No. You shouldn’t have tier handed to you all at once. This is a BLP system, not a free handout system.
pvp tiers were pvp-specific though.

The system has been introduced as bad luck protection for players who cannot complete their tier set and for alts to catch up on gear later in the patch.

So it is unnecessary for the ability to craft the pieces be available sooner.
If you want it sooner, then run the content dropping it.

also as for your point about me wanting a free handout you are also delusional considering by april 12th you actually do get a free handout anyway when you can just craft all your set pieces
