- Remove ony, nef, and rend timers
- Turn songflower into a looted unique consumable like the blast lands buffs
ZG is the only world buff I can stomach and it’s because my raid group can decide when to drop it. Spending a full day sniping songflower, ony/nef, and rend so that it lines up with our specific raid times is a nightmare and it’s worn extremely thin. Let guilds control their world buffs. It’s completely asinine that playing the game at endgame involves so much logging out to sit on buffs. The pservers that you shut down did it better, get over it and copy their good ideas.
It takes me longer to get buffs than it does to finish the raid night. I know that I can just skip it, but in the spirit of an RPG it’s ridiculous that we can kill a dragon as guild, award that dragon’s head as a guild, but we can’t get the dragon head buff as a guild, and the same goes for Rend. Songflower is just another case of servers having higher populations than was ever intended for respawn rates. I’d rather not have to find my songflower days earlier and then log out until it’s time to raid.
#nochanges is dumb, change things that are fundamentally flawed about the game; encouraging players to log out around buff timers to optimize their raid performance is fundamentally flawed.

Oh great, our server randomly reset, which means all the timers we’re tracking mean nothing now, and all the buffs are dropping at random. This is horrendous. This ruins a raid night for players to leave so much of their own prep to random chance. Sick of this trash.

Do you not understand what it means when in game features and systems encourage a specific type of game play? It’s not my decision that raid performance is optimized through this behavior; it is just a fact that raid performance is optimized through this behavior, and therefore any player trying to optimize their raid performance is encouraged into this behavior.

He’s a no changes person. He probably thinks that classic raiding is harder than mythic on retail and thinks that AQ 40 and Naxx wont be cleared the same day they open.

Please just get rid of world buffs. Obviously the current crowd playing classic cannot handle it.

You don’t HAVE to min/max. You don’t NEED world buffs. But if you’re that worried about your parses in a 15 year old game well… get good or whatever.
You desire to keep things people complained about back then in the game? You recall what the best day in Vanilla was right? Patch day.
I mean you can just raid without world buffs. Get over it. Either put in the effort for higher numbers or live without it. Bosses still die.
I desire to keep things as they were in vanilla.

Collecting world buffs on a timer outside of your control doesn’t require effort as much as it requires specific stars aligning. It’s an RNG process to get rend and ony/nef buff. This is assuming someone has all day, every day, to camp a buff; it’s all the more random for players with responsibilities outside of WoW.

Im all for preserving Classic… But I do agree with this and Ive always held this view… Keeping fundamentally flawed aspects of the game hurts it in the long run and some changes can be for the better…
Trying to recreate an “Authentic experience” will never work, you cannot relive the past and we’ve seen how thats worked out with Classic… Its not Vanilla and it will never be the same as Vanilla, because the whole meta has changed, the mentality of the people playing the game has changed…
That being said, I do love Classic and would never support things like LFR, transmogs, etc, added… But some small things could be changed to keep the game healthy on the long term…

And add guild banks, and get rid of 1 hour waits on mail to your own toons, and add tabards for rep gains, and add character boosts, etc…
