Remove the weekly quests. Instead of having to pick up and turn in a quest each week, the rewards should work like the trading post. example: you automatically get a heroic item box after completing the 4th mythic in a month(once per month). This way players can have more freedom with their time and don’t have to worry about remembering to pick up the quest each week, or worry about missing out because they don’t have time during a certain week.
You can’t be bothered to click on an NPC twice a week?
If you don’t want to click the NPC to pick up the quest, it’s in your adventure journal, too.
ok thanks i did not know that
but i am not OP but thanks
nah keep it thats it just keep it
There are a few NPC’s around that I do not talk to. If I could avoid interacting with them, I’d be happier.
not really about clicking the npc. this is just a QOL suggestion. the main point of what i was suggesting is that a player would be able to progress any of the weekly rotated quests within a month at any time.
Not sure I like this idea. While it sounds good to make all rewards be offered from “Do N of X events”, it takes away choice away by choosing what events become “promoted” events. It doesn’t feel good to me to have “Do 30 world quests” for a some tendies or rep or whatever instead of doing a targetted faction or specific quest that may be unaligned with “do pet battles” or “do m+”. Sometimes I only do world quests from a certain faction. I’d hate to see the Trading Post replace all reputation grinds.
People have been wrong before in the name of convenience. The people will discuss again.
i dislike this. This means i don’t get the option to see what i’m getting. Your making it automatic so i’ll have to take time and go find what the rewards are to see if im even wanting to worry about them. and this will be who knows where out of the normal quest window of an accepted quest which is very easy to find
Not to mention the gear from the weeklys slowly get better based on the week. so like TW gave a normal raid piece then the week after gave a heroic and it keeps the weekly promotions going…
in the end this is a terrible idea and spending 2 minutes once a week to go over to a guy decide if you want to do the quest and then move along… like its not qol when its not actually improving anything
i think… the best solution is, to give credit for the quest regardless of when you picked it up during the week. like it says do 4 M+ but you already did 12. so it just knows you already did the requirements and says gg i see you already did it here is the reward.
20 world quests. great. just like the Trading post tracker, it just knows and lets you know you can turn in the quest because you completed the wanted poster.
the idea here, imo, is to just give credit for the stuff its asking for if you already did it instead of making you go do it again.
It never ends does it? The lengths lazy people will go for things.
Too much convenience turns you into a bad lazy person.
and while we are at it, the weekly Vault needs to say what gear track the current reward is.
ilvl is too vague to determine the actual value of the potential reward.
you shouldnt need to go to a chart out of the game to look up if its Champion, Heroic, or Myth track
I agree. I often forget to grab a quest, since i play alts.
So you want the quest to go from weekly to monthly because youre too bothered to click an npc two times thats sitting in the main square where most players hang out?
People say the forums is a cesspool of dumb ideas and negativity.
The are right on the first point here.
i swear none of ya’l read the post, or just didn’t understand it. The weekly quests are on a rotation that repeats about every month~ish. my idea was to allow players to complete all of these activities on their own time during each month. not everyone is able to plan real life around the game. that’s not being lazy, that’s just life.
the problem with things like time walking is, focus.
if its not focused like through a limited time event, even ones that repeat, then players become aimless and que times soar as everyone does the content they want to do but rarely does it also align with other people’s same inclination at the same time and day.
already its slim pickings at normal sleeping hours our during high work/ school peaks.
try to form a M0 run of a an out of season dungeon and it not be the weekly dungeon quest. you’ll sit in que for hours because everyone is doing +2s or higher. heroic ques skip M0 deeper into the tiers.
and lets not even talk about the pvp stuff. player participation is so low, i made top 199 of bears in solo shuffle with a sub 1300 score. silly stuff like that wouldnt happen if participation was decent.
there has to be a focus for content the weekly content or it just wont get done. the problem just expands to “not having enough time to do it all before the new month ticks over” at least weekly you know that is the thing you “should” focus on IF you care about it.
i would however like to split hairs on the timers, like forgetting to turn in last weeks weekly quest before reset. if an alt did it and its complete. just let them turn it in. ![]()
I’d hate to see the weekly quests vanish.
If I start working on them about 15-20 minutes before a Superbloom begins, I can have all three of the major weekly quests done on a character in about 30 minutes. Lots of benefit for very little time investment.
no - the point of these weekly quests was so that they would rotate not be available at all times.
then just miss out and do the next week’s - the entire point of them was so they wouldn’t be available all the time.
While i agree that it’s a little lazy to complain about such things, Blizzard does force an awful lot of quests straight into our logs, they all give you the option to say no, but even if you say no or hit Esc, they still just go into your log anyway. I don’t see why the few most important quests of the week aren’t just forced in there too lol
