A “Hangman’s Noose” is actually a pretty humane way to execute a human if done properly. Amateurs just use a slip knot like a cowboy’s lasso and end up strangling the victim slowly. Good hangman will snap your neck like a twig and instantly kill you. Probably better to outlaw lassos.
