Can’t access 11.2 without doing the leveling campaign. Last season of the xpac. I only pvp / dungeon.
Mandatory 8 hour (solo content) quest chains to get BIS is not in the spirit of world of warcraft. By far the worst part of the last 2 xpacs were the mandatory leveling campaigns.
Grinds are fine. 8 hours of forced solo content + another 3 hours of the new 11.2 quest line to get bis is not cool. Let me kill monsters with other players if you want me to farm something, it’s an mmo.
Oh, sorry the game isn’t the exact same now as it was 20 years ago. I’m sure you have thousands of hours in this game. Whining over “10” of them (it’s way less than 10 hours for this patch) is such cute WoW community behavior.
Nah. They made it really simple. If you do the story quests on one character, you can skip them on the whole warband. It really doesn’t take too long to complete the level-up campaign.
8 hours for the campaign + 3 hours for the new 11.2 quest line isn’t that long?
Can you do something that is irrelevant, has no reward, and is not the content you enjoy before you can access the base game for 11 hours just to play 1 season? Or would you unsub?
I don’t know if anybody mentioned this or not but it turns out World of Warcraft is an RPG. That means role-playing game. That means you participate in a story and progress to a higher level each time. So anyone who thinks this game is not centered around the open world content, and the campaigns that come with every expansion has been playing the game wrong for a really long time. Dungeons and raids are cute, but they are not the only aspect of this game. Yeah, I said it.
You got a great point. Can’t they just mail you BIS once you buy the game and pay the sub? I mean, what’s the point in playing the game really? We all get BIS for minimal effort, so why even have that?
