Remove the level cap

Make it so we can just keep going. Everything scales so at a certain point the only way to make progress is to fight someone who’s leveled as high as you have.

Also add player housing so the highest level player can build a castle as big as the sword so we all know who we gotta kill.

Also permadeath, so if the entire community comes together and finally kills the highest level player they don’t get to play anymore. :dracthyr_uwahh_animated:

Maybe this idea doesn’t belong in retail but it does belong in retail hardcore (which should be created (also we should have all allied races unlocked by default in retail hardcore, or at the very least race unlocks should persist between versions of the game)).

If you think wow is too complicated to balance, wait till there is no level cap. Don’t be like Eve online, be better.

Now my brain hurts.

Thanks.

LOL

Why do people like OP want WoW to be overly complicated and punishing?

What’s next, OP gonna ask to have our characters need to learn to read?

I don’t think it’d be that complicated. You just make it so that everything just scales past a certain point (like, 1 to 70 is as it is but then 70+ is just 70 but x% stronger (so like, level 71 is 1% stronger than level 70, but doesn’t get any increased ability to dodge attacks)).

Though I don’t think it’s right for retail, but I think it’d be a lot of fun as an alternative hardcore mode where the players can basically just become raid bosses themselves.

Well this OP has confirmed for me one thing, I’m totally done with reading these forums. Think I’ll just play the game I enjoy and leave this far fetched stuff here.

That’s probably for the best to leave the forum for good. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.

Would also be cool if after a certain level you can basically just make your own dungeon for other players to do.

Those would be either trollishly impossible or extremely easy for easy loot.

Depends on how it’s implemented. :dracthyr_comfy_sip: Could just calculate the dungeon difficulty and base loot off that.

So we can eventually solo all current content? Sounds both trivial and horrifying.

Oh, this is a troll thread.

Vulpera posters are quickly over taking belf posters for worst content

Yes. :dracthyr_comfy_sip: And can eventually solo a 40-person raid (multiple raid teams would be needed to take you down eventually).

It’s not a troll thread, it’s just ideas. I think the idea is more interesting with permadeath, albeit, not in retail. But I think for a retail hardcore version it’d be interesting.

I think our characters need to take bathroom breaks, sleep and eat at regular intervals or they gain negative effects.

Even in the middle of a raid if you character has not done one of the prestated biological functions too bad… the the consequence happen.

waves hand

These are not the posts you are looking for…

only if those levels are meaningless numbers after 60.

You give the average human too much credit to not make an eazyfarm for gold/loot

To loot, you have to hold down the ‘loot’ key then click the left mouse button for every finger on you hand and right mouse button for your thumb; people will have to choose between looting faster with characters with less fingers, or playing a race they want.

To walk, you have to hold down the ‘walk’ key and then click left and right mouse buttons one right after the other; faster you click the faster you run.

Every mob starting at level 1 has boss mechanics and 1k health; as a player you start with a jute burlap shirt and a stick that does .005 damage; have to prepare for raiding after all!

I’m sure that there is absolutely no flaws with this plan and that removing the level cap will be perfectly balanced with absolutely no unforeseeable (or foreseeable) problems.
