Almost every time I do LFR, I am backfilling a spot after half the raid drops. Just remove it from the loot table and give people their time back.
they should’ve made it a raid renown track item
As someone who likes to collect the hearthstones but also doesn’t raid much…
No.
How about we don’t take fun things away just because a minority of people suck?
As long as the slot isn’t a healer or tank you’re fine. One less DPS out of 15 isn’t going to change a whole lot.
It’s an inevitability if it drops in LFR. It’ll be soloable next expansion. Relax.
It’s LFR, it doesn’t really matter.
not so, you will need a full group for drops because they won’t enable legacy loot until the expansion after next
Ok, then the expansion after that. shrug Still, it’s “apply time and win.”
I think you’re missing the point.
Someone leaves and then an unfortunate dps queues into their spot and if they want to do the earlier bosses that wing they’ll have to queue up a second time for the same wing.
I agree with OP it’s annoying, though I don’t have a good solution for it.
Who cares? It fills.
We’ve had to do that for ages. Nothing changes just because of a toy.
Blizzard could simply show how many bosses have been killed when the join dialogue box pops up. I also find it incredibly annoying to join a raid wing with half the bosses killed when the reason I’m joining is to start from the beginning.
I can’t imagine this is an insurmountable technical challenge, and it would allow the player to know what the deal is before they join, rather than after they zone in.
How else are they going to timegate your progress even more if they don’t try their best to deliberately inflict deserter debuffs on backfillers?
It’s probably not, but it would take longer to fill partial groups which is why they don’t tell us. Instead, if you join a partial run and finish it, the next time you queue for that wing you’re guaranteed a fresh group.
They did that once before and all it did was cause those groups to never fill. It was removed and will never again exist.
LFR backfills the way it should now: quickly and without issue.
It drops in lfr. Youll be okay
Of course exactly nobody would join that raid in progress and the people who are already in would have no way to finish. You just transferred the issue.
This, in turn, means that when that fresh raid you joined has people leave mid-way through your system will ensure your group never gets refilled.
Sometimes the best solution is the one nobody likes and that just might be what the current state is.
I stand by my statement. It’s annoying.
It is annoying, but the alternatives are worse.
At the end of the day tho, it’s LFR and doesn’t really matter. You can easily out gear it with delves and low m+. The only real reason to do it is to get mogs, toys and mounts.
