Can we please just work towards whatever corruption we want without having to log into WoW head and figuring out whether we need to either grind out the needed echoes IMMEDIATELY before it’s too late or realize that by time the vendor sells what you want you won’t even care anymore because Shadowlands launches the following week?

I agree with you here. I know a guildie who wants to get their keymaster but can’t because their bis corruptions comes out on the 22nd and that’s not enough time for them to grin it out. Would be simpler if you could buy any corruption you wanted without having to wait 2 weeks for it

Imagine if they put all corruptions in the vendor and then made all corruptions free of cost from the vendor for the remainder of BfA.

It would be like a tournament server, but I actually don’t mind grinding to unlock. It gives me something to work towards. My main issue is that I can only purchase specific corruptions at certain times, which make being good at WoW more of a life time-management activity rather than a game I play.

I mean at this point does it matter? Corruption won’t work in probably 2 weeks.

Nope.
They want people on the hamster grind and then they will pull it all out before you can benefit from it or start to have fun. 
tell your guildie he doesnt need bis corruption to do a 15

Now it we just a new build today with the auto flagging bug fixed.
I only copied over my main to beta (not the PTR) and corruptions aren’t a huge deal for her. I still hate the system but my main is better equipped to handle getting a piece of corrupted gear.
It’s when I get a corrupted item on my alts is when I feel like flipping every table in the room.

I didn’t even get my cloak on my Druid. So I get gear thats corrupted (happens all the time) and I can’t wear it or even cleanse it.

The whole Cloak/Corruption system is one of the dumbest systems ever along with Azerite Gear.

Yep this is what angers me. I was perfectly happy with my alts being WQ heroes but now that’s tainted. WQ up that gives a nice weapon upgrade? Yay! Oh wait, it just corrupted to +65.

Yeah it’s pretty dumb but it would have been less dumb if Blizzard would have picked one and not dumped both on us.
